I really dont get what the whole fuss is about with you guys about the lying.

You all know they are lying, no matter who was in charge would be lying, yet the amount of shock on here when Badger does his daily round of posts about the lying, is funny to watch.

How any of you are actually shocked anymore - it is beyond me.

I get the whole ‘we want to make people accountable’ stance, and in some sense it is laudable, but nothing ever really happens, no one is barely made accountable, so I guess that I why it bothers me less, cant be giving my time or fury to that.

The one Q i would ask though, is if one of the other parties was in, you know maybe the one most of you support, would you all be so forthcoming with shedding light on it - I’m not convinced.

I hear what you say, but it’s the complete lack of backbone shown by Starmer and his front bench in facing down the lies that frustrates me as much as anything. He certainly hasn’t done anything since he became leader to make me support his party, other than being vaguely not as bad as the other lot, which isn’t saying much.

This forum wasn’t around the last time any other party was in power or you would have read a lot from me criticising Blair and Brown, particularly over the Iraq War, which Blair lied about over and over again, and for saddling many NHS hospitals with Private Finance Initiatives, which effectively put them at the mercy of venture capitalists.

Behave Richie, saying lies (like Boris) about I repeatedly come on here - I haven’t been on this thread for ages, and barely post at all nowadays, and mainly cos of the **** i get from people like you, Jabbo, Badger and that **** from Norwich.

I dont defend Boris, I usually say **** cos it is funny seeing how you all flap about **** you cant control - pretty much what is happening right now, as it happens. I think Boris is a ****ing moron, and one of the worst prime ministers we have had. I take a more light hearted view on life, some posters here get all pissy about **** they cant control.

Ive never said I’m happy being lied to, I’m not saying you should all be lemmings - you are free to do what the **** you like fella, I couldn’t care a less about you, what you do or think. The one thing that sits on my mind is what does all these posts, all the anger, all the pointing out about lies, what does/have it achieved?

Maybe if it carries on, the public will vote for change at the next GE - who knows, but I think the biggest issue stems from (as someone else mentioned i think) there isn’t anyone credible to make the change happen.

I fail to see how you feel I am defending this government - you clearly have an agenda with me, and dont like me, which is up to you. It is a shame cos I have liked reading your posts over the years. Clearly you haven’t read my post, in which i have said how i feel about Boris. Can you explain why, if you read that, that you came to the conclusion I defend the government?

Yep, I wouldn’t disagree with this Ian, and my main point on this thread is firstly the general state of Politics, the way the system works etc.

I think you could replace Boris with previous PMs though, and insert a different clause for the level of low. So Tony Blair for example with the Gulf War, Maggie for more reasons than I have time to list, and I’m sure others have lots of other people/reasons. I dont know history as well as I would like to, but I am sure there were a time in British Politics where Politics was run and administered in the correct manner.

And secondly, I find it funny in a weird way as I think no matter who is in power, the end result will largely be the same.

I made a comment about a heart ago about the Pied Piper, and a couple took exception claiming I was calling people on here rats, which I genuinely wasnt.

My point is that the majority of this board are Labour supporters, who vehemently attack everything about incumbent Governments, being very personal in nature often with articles that may or may not be true. Yet seemingly would happily blindly follow their own party if they were in Power.

And this is the issue I think with Politics, and if I may add, the way the media directly inbalance the output of politics. To me, the rich and powerful have always run the media, and Politics is now used as a conduit to get what these people want. The voters are merely pawns running between making it all come together.

It is why I dont vote, and likely wont vote.

I think that was months ago, like maybe last year Richie, and i did say Badger kept posting stuff, and some of it wasnt true - I said by posting that **** is damaging, and actually you have highlighted that posters on here are also capable of doing the things they deride Boris & Co for.

I’m not sure what point you are making Richie, I’m not sure you are either.

I haven’t said anything about Gov spin on Hospitals or new wards, I just asked a Q about why it was so relevant, and why people get shocked when they here it from the Government, as in it happens so often why the surprise.

Anyhow, I’m happy to leave it for now Boris, it is clear you aren’t keen on me, and think you are suggesting things that aren’t true or haven’t really been said, or taking **** out of context. It isn’t really adding to the quality of this great thread is it, and I’m sure others cant be arsed to read it
