I wasn’t there on Saturday, how did he get on? Does he look to have the previously mentioned by other champions league class? Does he also look to have the petulant attitude others suggested?

He is skillful, clever and always forward going which I like...sometimes needs to pick out a pass rather than do it all himself...twice he should have passed but tried to do it himself which could have resulted in a goal for us but I am being picky.

Defends also which is good, Stewart on the other wing needs to do that a bit more too but to be fair, we had a good team out there and if they can stay injury free, I can see us scoring quite a few goals against teams with slow defenders...we looked quicj going forward and some good pass and move plays shows Nigel wants to play the ball on the ground where we can.

Belaid will be a great player for us this season, I hope we have him on a longer deal than end of this season.

Definitely has a lot of quality, very comfortable on the ball, not fazed by being closely marked by two or three defenders. I get the feeling he will have more impact against the better footballing teams where he'll get more space to play than he did against Preston.

If he finds his feet on and off the field( settles in area ) we could have a good one here. Good control and can pass a ball.

No sign of any petulance what so ever.Grafted when he had to and put his foot in when needed.Overall another worthy addition to the squad.

Echo what the rest said he's also got one hell of a shot on him too. Reminds me very much of Koren

Except he gets stuck in a bit more than our Bobby, and presumably he can't be as unlucky as Koren. I know this sounds daft but I swear Koren has to be the unluckiest footballer ever. On Saturday he had a shot which was tipped onto the bar and it bounced on top of the bar twice before going over, in the second half he caught the sweetest perfect volley, beat the keeper by a mile and just flew wide. He always seems to do brilliant things which never quite come off, usually down to the intervention of the bloody post or bar.

Noticed on Saturday, Belaid is certainly not afraid of a challenge and gets stuck in - the state of him at the end showed that - the same with McLean

We should attach the goal on runners so we can move it slightly to help us score and move it to help the opposition not to score :D Then that volley would have been goal of the month if not year... really was sweet like you say, from about 30 - 35 yards aswell, I thought it was in until it hit the barrier, as did everyone around me, we all jumped up then sat down quietly like a bunch of idiots

I think the key with him is he has a little more strength about him than Stewart and a little more muscle which will help at this level. He is someone who in the PL would probably perform better with more time on the ball. He has talent in abundance but he needs to learn when to pass and when to maybe get the ball in the box a bit more. But with him and Stewart on the wings we certainly do have two talented players. Devitt isn't bad back up either!

Agree the above, he looks like he's a little short of match fitness and sharpness!!

For me he's gonna be better than Bullard, Ash and Harper put together
