Billy Sharp is an ok rumour. Luke Shaw can't be far away from our first team or he may have gone on loan by now? On a different note, If we were supposedly banging in offers of 6m for players, i would hang out and go for Gary Hooper from Celtic. (may have a better chance next summer)
I'd have thought Luke Shaw can't be close to our first team. We already had Harding and Dickson and we just signed Fox.
Shaw probably has an over-active agent or parent who keeps dropping his name to the media, nothing more than that.
Shaw was also on the bench v Preston. He's seriously good but a year or two away from having a first team chance at the moment. Put it this way, if Arsenal wanted him Cortese would say "same again please".
In regards to this lad George Mells his last two goals for the 16s and 15s have been from 25 yards out so I went along to watch our 18s thought I get there early with a mate and watch this lad play.WOW he dominated the game and his passing was like you where watching xabi play. Let's hope he turns out to be the class of Luke, and Prowse in five years time watching these lads and others in our first team would be fantastic
I think he's an attacking midfielder. Don't hold me to that though. He can play for England or Australia when he's older as he was born there.
Let's hope he doesn't do a Giggs and decide to play for his birth country then! Obviously I can completely understand why they would but Giggs would've won an international trophy had he chosen England as I feel all we've missed over the majority of the past 10-15 years is a good left winger. Now we seem to have that in Ashley Young I feel we're missin a good other 10 players lol
Yeah, he's an attacking mid, and has already made a couple appearances for the Australian U-17s at age 14. He's also eligible for Greece, apparently.
An AM like Lallana who appears everywhere or an AM who stays fairly central and dictates from just infront of the CMs? Luke Shaw faces quite a lot of competition at LB, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him go out on loan when he signs a professional contract at 17. Arsenal won't come close to matching the Chamberlain bid while he remains untested, so he'll go nowhere until he gets tested.
