Hume doesn’t need to sign before the window (if he’s signing at all). As he’s a free agent, he can wait
If we get another striker in of the same type as Stewart to fit the style of play, I'd give Grigg away for nowt. He serves no purpose other than taking one of our young players' place on the bench.
Negativity isn't the problem tbh, it's the relentless whinging and putting down of the club, manager, players, staff. As you rightly say there's never any notion of being premature, or incorrect, it's just on to the next whinge. "Signed a left back ... ... yes but we need a right back. " And so it goes on.
I'm interested to see what he does now mind. Clearly Dennis will be first choice so does Hume accept he is backup (and obviously currently injured) and sign a deal or does he choose to leave. I'm not convinced championship clubs will take a chance on him until he proves his fitness tbh. The clubs position just got a whole lot stronger after this signing.
Imo. Hume is already down the pecking order. This lad hasn't left Spurs where he was 3rd choice behind others to be behind someone else at Safc. He's our no.1 full back.
The only thing Donald is pulling is his pud at the thought of a windfall from a decent ownership's investment and outcome.
