Im not disputing what you were told but the lad who told me today is well connected at the minute.

After this signing, a well thought of U23 defender who is moving up north to enhance his career away from a Premiership club, I'm hoping for a decent ripple effect with future signings.
Plus Man City trusting us with development of Doyle. Sending out all the right signals imo.

I reckon the average age of our squad is going to be arond 24 or 25 at the end of the window. That is great news in my opinion. It will bring energy and freedom to our play. If you look at where the experience is it is in the spine - Burge, Flannagan, Wright, Evans, O'Nien, Winchester, Pritchard, McGeady, O'Brien, Gooch. There are of course youngsters in the spine to but it really does look to me we are putting a fantastically well balanced squad together. It looks very much like we will have players with freedom to play and old heads to get the balance right. We also have a manager who seems to be happy with younger lads in the team. It really is exciting.

It's official he's signed.
I was literally only told from a friend that he wasn’t very happy. He didn’t mention if he was going to sign or not. It just didn’t sound good in terms of if he was to sign then he was only here because he couldn’t find anything else. That was a week ago now. So good news that it’s happening.
