... in my opinion.

This all needed putting into place as a foundation before we started bringing in random players who may turn out to be contrary to what we need. The new owner is responsible for a major change at the club and didn't just toss in a hand grenade manager and a bunch of hopeful signings.

Talking Tactics: Why Sunderland were deserved winners against a fast-starting Wigan

The data tells us that Sunderland deserved their win over Wigan on Saturday, but what else can we glean from the statistics?

The scoring is crazy for the players performance.

Max Power - 7
Charlie Wyke - 6.9
Callum Doyle - 6.7

The rest of the article is really good and near the bottom I like how it shows the importance our full backs will be to the system that we are now set-up playing. Our central players are clearly looking to play it out wide at every opportunity. Another reason why the club are taking the most time over getting the perfect full backs in for us.
