Was a pretty nasty looking challenge too, strange for the Villarreal player to be going in so tough in a friendly.
Spoiler: NSFW Hadn't seen it, but it's a pretty bad tackle. Probably didn't expect Fofana to step across it, though. Still reckless and unnecessary and well deserving of a red, of course. Didn't get one and went on to score, which is bloody typical.
Juventus have issued the following apology: The tweet that didn't have any racial undertones? Spoiler: Spoiler. please log in to view this image
Someone posed for that photo, then someone took it, then someone posted it on an official site and then 1500 people ****ing liked it... WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. ****. ?
Nothing to see here…will already be forgotten..surely taking the knee balances it out? You guise should know this already. it’s a classic old style racist jibe..no one cares about them nowadays. We moved onto protecting the weirdos who don’t know if they got dicks or fannies nowadays.
I don’t know mate is it? People can do what they want but I’m afraid I find it odd how in the last 5 years or so that kids are waking up and deciding they want to be the other sex. There was a new one a few weeks ago…some kid woke up and he was gender fluid..that means he can choose what sex is he is depending on the mood he’s in…I mean that’s a bigger wtf in my opinion mate. They can crack on with it but I think they need counselling…and what about that big hairy bloke who went into competition with the women at the Olympics weightlifting? You think that’s his right, I actually think it’s pathetic and what of the right is the women in that scenario? People get labelled homophobes etc but it seems quite fashionable and accepted to be hetrophobic nowadays without anyone batting an eyelid.
Sorry but I couldn’t disagree more and think your use of language describing them is actually quite disgusting.
I totally get where spurlock is from on the whole laura hubbard fiasco and it looks like the IOC are going to change some rules around it
Yeah this is where inclusion is becoming a joke. Thankfully Hubbard didn’t do too well in this Olympics but having a genetically born male compete against women is ruining the integrity of the sport. Some poor girl would’ve missed out on the chance to compete too due to Hubbard’s inclusion, imagine all your life training for something and then a born male comes in and takes your place? Must be heartbreaking. Where does it actually stop too? There’s an MMA fighter who transitioned from male to female and they beat a woman to a pulp in a fight to the point where they cracked her skull. There’s also an Australian who’s been competing in the women’s AFL and if you see the size of them, most women won’t be able to tackle them one on one. Some of the world is becoming so afraid of being seen as offensive or transphobic that they’re ruining the integrity of sports and/ or putting women at risk of severe injury.
You agree with him saying transpeople need counselling? And calling the transwoman a big hairy bloke etc? Very harmful language and unnecessary imo.
There are a lot of issues that need discussing and a lot of genuine concerns and worries on both sides of this argument need to be heard. I think there is a level of dismissing genuine and legitimate concerns and spreading falsehoods in any discussion about this issue. I am genuinely ignorant about the subject (in the true meaning of the word ignorant) buutavoid discussing it cos in my experience all sides of this debate are entrenched and are more interested in lobbing grenades at each other. Just my thoughts
I agree with him in the sense I don't think Laura should have been there. As for the rest of it, i'm not sure I would use that sort of colourful language but can you really argue with the big hairy bloke as I guess the only incorrect part of that is bloke. I don't know enough about gender fluidity to recommend counselling but from Spurlocks definition of it, if one day you think you're a girl and another day you think you're a boy then I tend to agree, they might want to see someone about that.
Got to respect whatever identity people have for themselves. Of course you have to watch out for the odd imposter, but the majority of people identifying as trans go through hell and I think we should be careful and supportive with our language on the subject.
