Roy Keane upsetting a few people, for a change. Is he wrong, though?

Leicester 2021

1. Won FA Cup beating City in semis and Chelsea in the final.

2. Challenged for top 4 until last day of the season.

3. Won Charity Shield against City.

Arsenal 2021

Finished below the worst spurs team in over a decade

Step up?

Actually, it was Chelsea who beat City in the semi to get to the final.
Leicester beat Man Utd in the quarters and Southampton in the semis

<doh>
Forgot that...you really were a jinx side to City last season.
Hopefully thats something we can repeat this season too :p

I was happy that it was Leicester who beat us in the final and not one of the Manc clubs.

But yeah that game really showed that City need a striker. question is, if Kane falls through for them, who do they go for?

A couple more goals for Sardar Azmoun for Zenit today. Really think we should be looking at him.
Available relatively cheaply, as he's got a year left on his contract and he's scoring for fun in Russia.
26-year-old Iranian with a good record at international level, though it's largely against weak opposition.

They'll get Kane...just won't be until the last day of the window.

Chelsea spent over £200 million last summer and now this huge transfer this summer.

Absolute joke .

It's why part of me does sympathise with Levy. While I think he could've done significantly more to keep us at least on the coattails of these clubs, with a number relatively predictable mistakes contributing to us slipping beyond the horizon, expecting us to match them, City and United without bankrupting the club is fanciful and the entire reason why the stadium is so important to our long-term success.

Abramovich and the Mansours changed football permanently. True, if we'd stretched ourselves last summer and spent £40m on Skriniar instead of £15m on Rodon, we wouldn't have gone bust. We might have even made top 4. But then City would have just spent £60m on Dias and Chelsea similar on Kounde this year and we'd still be exactly where we were previously: hanging onto their coattails.

As others have said, if they just fecked off to a Super League, the premier league would be a much happier place and tbh no less competitive. United, Spurs, Liverpool, Leicester, Villa, Arsenal, Leeds, Everton, Newcastle.

Still the largest global following of any league anywhere in the world and in all honesty would still be the most entertaining, if not more so with a slightly fairer spread of finances.
