He has one or two good games 5 or 6 average games and 1or 2 horror shows every 10 games from what I see.

Not the worst player in the world but it's telling that NO club above arsenal have come in for him.

Like you said ... baffling that he's being offered another contract.
Thought you were talking about Pogba until I saw the earlier posts

Villa have agreed a deal for Leon Bailey, quite a good player, surprised he’s joining them. Presume they’re using the potential Grealish windfall to get him.

As soon as he made up with the Jamaican FA it was a matter of time before he left Leverkusen, since a large part of why he was there was he was able to commute in from Genk as he was trying to qualify for the Belgian team

Really weird that they've announced it before agreeing terms with the player.
Must be very confident of getting it over the line, I guess.

Xhaka is going to be offered a new contract and a wage increase after his move to Roma fell through.
<doh>. I truly despair.
He's 29 in September, made clear his intention to leave and we want to reward him with a new deal when his current one expires in 2023 and he'll be 31 by then anyway? No point protecting his 'value' when he won't be worth much anyway in a year or two.

I'm living in feint hope that this is a tactic to call Roma's bluff and force them into moving quick to get the Xhaka deal over the line. But doesn't seem likely anymore.

Good news for you lot and the rest of the league. Horrible news for us.

Roma are after Xhakahahaha??

Further proof, as if any more was needed, that Mourinho is a footballing cretin.

Anyone fancy a drive up to Manchester with a brief stopover in Birmingham?

They can easily afford both, I don’t get why people think it’s one or the other.

You only have to go back to last summer and see how much Chelsea spent on all those players. No reason why City won’t match that this summer. The Kane deal will happen once the league game is out the way.

Mainly because they keep pretending they're broke, hence their repeated attempts to publicly dictate terms that are downright insulting to everyone but the most clueless diehard who thinks that The Sheikh Mansour Team are entitled to everything they want

Same can be said for their latest round of nonsense about how the fee will be offset by player sales, even though a cursory look at their sales this summer says that unless they play on buying Aurier or Carter Vickers there isn't anyone in our squad they could buy whose fee would be offset by player sales...oh wait, they already spent that on a bunch of South American teenagers

A few sponsors will conveniently appear on demand to boost their income for FFP purposes. Abu Dhabi Paving & Decking just invested £200M to sponsor the floodlights for a season I hear.

West Ham or Al-Hilal? Good choice, Mr Pereira. <ok>
