He'll be struggling to get in their team at this rate. He's not impressed in preseason apparently and is now injured.
Didn’t the Spurs fan on RR say he’d had a full pre-season? Might not me match sharp but nobody is for 3-4 games. Louie Barry is an excellent signing for Ipswich mind, if he can adapt to League One football.
People have a lot going on in their lives and react to things in different ways. They can't alk be robot like. It's the same in society as a whole. I disagree with people I sit with but we all want the same thing at the end of the day.
But you don’t get far treating your life as a pot. I have my work life. My social life. SAFC. Various other parts. They don’t all feed into each other, they can influence, but I wouldn’t take a work issue out on a pal, a fallout with a pal wouldn’t have me booing at the match. You shouldn’t take an issue with one person and take it out on another, that’s weak. It’s the same principle.
Well done you if you can decompartmentalise your life. A lot can't. Mental health issues have gone through the roof I'm recent times and a lot of people weren't the most stable to start with. Again it's not a case of extremes people have many reasons for their behaviour. I've been on the receiving end in my work place so I can see it first hand.
Absolutely. But I’m very close to mental health, it’s something I’m a support leader for within my employment and also something I’ve been directly affected by. It’s not an excuse. Its still a case of ‘someone’s done this so I’m gonna do that’ and that’s the first thing you would be supported to avoid in a mental health scenario.
Sibthey should sit with grins on their faces all game? Not going to happen. We all know that. People are different and to expect otherwise is not sensible.
That’s not what I’m saying and not close to what I’m saying. I’m saying any reaction to an individual situation should be justified. I deal with people all the time who use one thing as an excuse or reason for another and that’s a personal thing that can be self managed. If the lads are at 60 mins and haven’t put a shift in, we 2 down and no effort to get back in, folk boo then, I wouldn’t join in but I’d understand. The boos go up in the SOL at 0-0 after 10 minutes. Awaiting this seasons scapegoat cos Burge is a keeper they won’t get enough chance to get at him.
I was diagnosed with a social anxiety disorder several years ago, yet now I manage a large team and often present in front of 60-70 people. I find positivity. Don’t think for a second I’m dismissing something I ain’t in touch with. Again, the issue with social media is assumption and lack of information.
I'm always very dubious when they say "beat Sunderland to it", I think they clutch at straws and just assume we wanted said player aswell. Lazy.
No I agree with that. Not sure we would have been in with him because of the players we have in that role but Ipswich have just signed one of the most promising teenagers in English football. That offers no guarantees though and I'm more than happy with our direction but definitely makes them stronger. It's going to be an exciting season I reckon!
He's out of contract next summer and they have 3 full backs ahead of him - two of which are 22 are younger. They probably know its unlikely he will become first choice, and he probably knows that too. Would make contract negotiations to renew difficult. Spurs won't loan in case he doesn't renew and they get sod all tribunal for him. Makes more sense for them to sell for a fee now, with good sell-ons added, than to loan him out and risk losing him for 200k with terrible sell ons
With Embleton Pritchard and potentially Gooch I just don’t think we need a 10. We need another 9 who has a different style - hopefully pacy and turns defenders. Fingers crossed over this left back like.
