The Independent report tha Villa have signed Danny Ings on a 3 year deal , villa are not banking the Grealish money

There's nothing official yet, but various amounts have been mentioned.
£24m + add ons or just straight £30m seemed to be popular.
A lot more than anyone else was rumoured to be offering.

25m is whats on the bbc and guardian.

Not the worst money in the world. Talented, has on the whole been available and is a proven goalscorer.

Final year of contract and is 29 so no resale value but it's a fair price.

Liverpool had a sell-on clause of 20%, though. Not sure if that's profit or the overall figure.

It's a fairly reasonable fee for Villa, as long as he stays fit.
There was a lot of talk about his wage demands, though. Wanted silly money, apparently.

Jamie Vardy may be required to hand over his phone as evidence in the whole Coleen Rooney/Rebekah Vardy libel trial

What're the odds he pulls a Lord Bethel and says "Whoops! Just replaced it"?
Given the likelyhood of something being on there that he wouldn't want people to know about? 100%.

The pundits:

11:05 Isn't the Premier League great. The fact that it's so competitive and the lower placed teams always have a chance of beating the top teams.

11:10 That player in the lower placed team needs to move to a top team. Only then can they win anything which is the only thing that counts.

Yes, they are actually trying to make the PL less competitive, indirectly ruining the product. Players have always accumulated at the top of course, but it's never been worse than now. Teams like Citeh are accumulating players that they can't even play. Yet they get away without criticism because it's "rotation" and they're being clever. Yeah, because nobody else wants two players for every position - they just can't afford to. So it's ok that the best players go to a small number of clubs where they don't even play every week. That's a big difference from how it was done in the past.

Ah, but the ESL, that's the wrong type of uncompetitive...
