Nothing at all wrong with this imo. More modernisation of the club, which is exactly what I want. Some of the lads on the WMS pods are clueless.
Totally agree mate. Nothing wrong with this at all. And most of them can't seem to believe people have different opinions to them
Exactly, I'd have thought them having more contributors would give them more diversity in opinions but they mostly seem to say the same thing. The post match pod was horrific at times. I think the lads were about 12yr old. The craic was shocking.
There’s nothing wrong with this of course. And I completely get the principle. I do think however they’re going the wrong way about it. You don’t become a leader by being given a new job title. it’s pretty irrelevant tho and the people making these decisions know way more than me
So why have all the other appointed leaders? You don't need a diversity of leadership opinions on a pitch or in the dressing room. You won't get a team pulling in the same direction by employing a diversity of opinion. Club Captain, Team Captain and Team Vice Captain are surely enough. If they aren't doing what you want then you replace one or more of them.
I lick it......I mean like it. They may have different remits, one may be linked to the U23s, one may be linked to the u18s, some may attend fan events, others may not. I like the idea personally. If you only have one 'leader' then there is a potential for 'their way of the highway' which is an ancient approach imo.
Very pleased with this. He's been there long enough to see how the other players are around him. Haway the Lads!!!
Haway man, give us a break. Can you not look at the positives or is everything the club do completely wrong. If the players have welcomed it why can't we ... ... what's the worst that can happen as a result of this.
Possibly that the players have a more engaged attitude and we have a stronger team and better results? That would really piss off the negative twats on here!
Ha'way yourself! If it is such a good thing it must have been done no end of times before at loads of clubs - so give us some examples.
Is it really worth whinging about, it's harmless man ... ... if the players are OK with it so am I. I won't even notice, after today, and neither will you.
There's absolutely no way it can have an adverse effect .... ... even if there's a 1% chance of a beneficial effect it's worth it.
It's not uncommon in big corporations/organisations to have multiple leaders within a group. It is a contemporary thing however, lots do it. No problems with it as long as everyone knows their roles and they are clearly defined. Especially , who makes the absolute senior call on the pitch, in game etc.
