I just can’t understand us playing in York. I used to enjoy going to these games. Won’t be happening now will it.

Hull City Under-23s and Under-18s’ respective Professional Development League fixtures for the 2021/22 season have been confirmed.

The Under-23s will begin their campaign on Tuesday 17th August with an away game at Queens Park Rangers before hosting Millwall at York’s LNER Community Stadium on Monday 23rd August.

Six of the 11 home matches will take place in York, with the remaining five played at the MKM Stadium.


The Tigers’ traditional home will stage the Under-23s’ final home fixture against Colchester United on Saturday 23rd April, with the campaign concluding away to Charlton Athletic on Monday 2nd May.

Cardiff City will provide the opposition for the Under-18s’ opening league fixture at Bishop Burton College on Saturday 14thAugust.

The youngsters face long trips in their second and penultimate matches of the season, against Bristol City on Saturday 21stAugust and Swansea City on Saturday 23rdApril respectively.

The curtain will come down on the Under-18s’ regular league campaign with a home game against Watford on Saturday 7th May.

They fell out with Ferriby. If you look at the fixtures, most clubs don't play their U23 games at their senior home ground nowadays.

Where apart from NFU is closer, that offers decent facilities? I guess that's the judgment they made. Plus the new York City stadium is fairly handy if they meet up at Bishop Burton, as long as they don't mind 50mph speed limits and constant temptations from McDonalds, Starbucks, etc.

Where apart from NFU is closer, that offers decent facilities? I guess that's the judgment they made. Plus the new York City stadium is fairly handy if they meet up at Bishop Burton, as long as they don't mind 50mph speed limits and constant temptations from McDonalds, Starbucks, etc.

For U23s games, they could have used Haworth Park, or Dene Park. In fact, even Goole's ironically named Victoria Pleasure Grounds would have sufficed.

The new stadium at York is pretty nice though.
