Hume is a player I think has a bigger reputation than his performances have warranted. That said I think in the right setup he could develop into a very good attacking full back. He has the mentality I think to get up and down. A good coach will improve his one on one defending which will help him a lot. I would have him back for the squad but you might have to get another in as his injury record isnt great and it must be a concern due to the amount of ground modern full backs need to cover.

Sounds about right to me mate. Absolutely potential there but rarely have we seen sign of him fulfilling it.

Absolute zero chance of getting him sure hibs want 5mil and the likes of watford and another prem team i can't remember who are after him
Chelsea, Arsenal and Celtic all want him according to SSN <laugh> That doesn’t give us a hope.

Not itk but I think he'll sign now that he's had a look around and probs start on sat if we haven't got another LB in by then

Edit: or is he still injured?

There is a good player in there, but who is playing who is debatable, its not at all clear that its Hume or his agent tbf.

Think he is still injured mate, or there was an ongoing situation, this is purely from comments made by posters on this board and I have no actual information as to his fitness. Bit of a pointless reply really.

Even if he is fit he has had no pre season so no where near being ready to play

It's all about value for money for the club, I think.

The wage we might be offering will balance out how good a player Hume can be and how much he'll play.

Same reason that Wright could be sold. On good money yet misses a lot of games.

Not drove around weardale that much, where's the best places for a ride out
Great places up there, just drive anywhere and you'll find a spot to suit. HIll End in Frosterley is a good spot, or Stanhope is a diamond. Go a bit further thru Cowshill and you've Killhope Leadmine. On a sunny day it's a nice ride out.
I am working up there I might add!!
