Our wage bill is because it includes huge non playing members of the club unless your specifically talking about playing wage bill?

from the echo

Liverpool currently employ in excess of 800 staff across the club's different departments who are all included in the latest set of accounts.

In contrast, City's annual wage bill of £260million only includes 449 members of staff - 210 on the football side and 239 in commercial and administration

It's also understood that a number of significant salaries at City are paid by the City Football Group, the holding company that administers all the global clubs under the ownership of Abu Dhabi United Group.

Yes you are right and another dodge by City and Chelsea is to pay those people out of separate company as you say which is a complete dodge.

It's a loop hole that should be closed off.

I think Varane and Sancho are both very good signings. Question is, will Ole use them effectively?

Varane imo is an absolute class act. World class in fact.

They will be paying him a massive wage as his contract was running down.

Utd have shot themselves in the foot giving agent ole a new contract. That squad now only needs a manager. Yes a midfielder in and pogba out too but they are like Chelsea under lampard.

They should just cut ogs loose and appoint a guy who knows how to manage.

Chelsea will be hugely strong, City imo will struggle at this minute to cope with them but add in utd and us if we don't flatter to deceive and it could be a very competitive top 4.

Lfc need at least two players imo to get close.

Exciting tbh

Spurs, arsenal and Leicester are miles off. Villa are trying to join the party. Everton are buying Townshend and gray. The mind boggles.

I genuinely think without aguero and fernandinho on his last legs City might be in trouble this year. They have to open the wallet. I dearly hope they don't get kane and grealish. It'd be the diviest teams for the win league at the top :)

United apparently doubling his wages.. he’s currently on 190k a week. Ouch

Your'e really clinging to hope aren't you <laugh>

You do know who has built that squad and why i presume, it wasn't just sticking a pin in names on a grid

Ole would make a good Sporting Director. By and large he's bought well and for the first time in years we've actually got a team coming together.

The irony is, as someone posted, under Ole as the manager we've relied on individual bits of brilliance to win games than anything crafted as a team for large parts of the season. So the jury's still out for me and I'm one who backed him for the first 18 months all the way.

Still hopeful with the team we have now, Ole will come good and we can compete with City, Chelsea and Liverpool for at least one major trophy. But the Fred McTominay midfield pivot has to fcking go though!

I could go on FM, sort by value and sign the players united have signed. Don’t kid like ole has signed some absolute unknowns and turns them into world class players. He’s filtered on value and gone down the list of most expensive players and picked a couple out.

Wasn't agent ole anyway;) that numpty still can't decide if he wanted beeky or didnt want him

Can't wait to see him rocking in his seat hoping for a penalty or something to save him again this season.
