Also the fella I know who was in exactly the same circumstances but doing 120mph didn't get a ban or make the HDM. It's all over the papers because of the content of the appeal and who he is. If any Bentley owner had said he couldnt afford to travel a different way and a judge had suggestes he sold said Bentley to pay for it then that would have been in the HDM whoever it was - precisely because its a piss-take.

The fact it is someone with a public profile doubtless adds to the story, but it also makes it astonishing that person would risk losing face and damaging the profile of his businesses in such a way also.

I suspect Papa wont be impressed.
