I actually find this kind of thing sad and wrong. A young Geordie kid, son a club legend, grows up playing for his heroes and is on cusp of first team and gets enticed away. Pretty sad
This system like the loan system is all wrong, engineered by people at the top who have no concept of being a football supporter, and no understanding of anything other than making money, they will, if allowed, kill the game as we know it.
Sadly nobody has the balls to even try to stop them.

It's tha other premia league teems, thay don't want tham to be the biggest club in the world. First thay stop the Saudis from takkin owa now thay tak the young uns from them! It's tha region that'll suffa!!!

Aye I agree, mag or not it’s a shame the north east keeps on losing talent like this.
Hopefully altho likely still loose a few is to set youth structure up as a club to make sure kids develop into first team players & go as far as they can in the game like KLD is trying, will take time but until our academy is see as the place to be we wont stop kids going....just hopefully slow down the rate as SD as good as made our acedemy worthless.
