Well there was a GB side @ the 2012 London Olympics and this didn’t seem to cause many issues. Anyway Robbie BB thanks for your explanation. Let’s hope the women’s GB team get a medal.

Isn't the problem that FIFA and UEFA have a long-standing aim to have only a single unified UK team entered in FIFA and UEFA competitions? The 4 home nations are afraid that to enter a unified UK team in the Olympics would set a precedent that the governing bodies could seize on.
You're correct there Robbie, 2012 was a special case and was said so about a million times when it happened. If somewhere such as Gibraltar can have a team I don't see why the home nations can't all have their teams.

A lot of politics behind that Gibraltar decision too. Football is often presented as bringing people together; in reality it is a tool of nationalism and assertion of national sovereignty.

And then there's the kneeling for Marxist racial division .

"Marxist racial division", Dunc? What planet are you on this week?
The Black Lives Matter movement that killed and injured hundreds whilst burning cities taking over police stations and setting up autonomous zones in America.

Horrible divisive Marxist cult.

Which trickled down to sports and ruined football.

I don’t know if this is true but on TalkSport they said that Team GB didn’t qualify for the Olympics because of our performance in the Euro U21s tournament?

I think what Talk Sport was saying was that, even if the home nations had agreed to enter (which they didn't for men's football, but did for women's football), the men's team would not have qualified due to England's Euro U21s performance. Or if that wasn't what they were saying, it's what they should have been saying! <ok>

Just watched the Brentford Arsenal game and Arsenal look poor, Brentford deserved their win their keeper only really had one save to make all game

I think we can see where this is going. Arteta gets sacked after they get thumped by Man City, a new manager in place for the international break, a fired-up team for the next game at home to us.
