I've downloaded it, check it every day, never been alerted, I am retired but I frequently go away to Cornwall, I am out and about at home, I do tend to mingle within the rules, I will continue to use it as well as a mask when shopping, I'm not frightened it's just my own choice, at last.
I deleted after one of the grandbairns teachers tested positive, both jabs received and three successive negative tests, still had to do ten days solitary for fcuk all. I don't think it was designed to cope with this amount of infection. Whole thing has mutated into a political circus.

I myself got ‘pinged’ last month. Went (against the rules) for a test and it came back negative. Went again a few days later and still negative, so stopped isolating.
I can’t (and won’t) criticise people for obeying the rules but this particular rule seems to me to be excessive.
Deleted mine.
No doubt in my mind isolation rules will end very soon.
Already businesses are becoming fu**ed, so as cases rise daily to 100k the number of pings will run into millions.
Can't understand why the government doesn't end this isolation farce immediately.

Sorry to interupt, but we've got a similar thing over here when you download the jack app.
You get pinged if you come into contact with one, but no need to self isolate, just have a good wash..........

The whole thing is getting ridiculous with thousands of young 'uns now able to go clubbing with no rules in place, but by the end of September they'll need a Covid passport to get in ?
Another black mark in the eve growing list of them against Boris for me with his dithering and u turns. The government seem to want to rule by fear, despite restrictions being lifted, and on my visit to a Sainsburys and a Tesco yesterday, I didn't see one person not wearing a mask, so plenty of people are still willing to be sheep.

To be fair to the government they are being advised by medical people and following their advise-Boris and his team are not medical people.
Its pretty obvious from their comments the medical advise around face coverings, for instance, is not to remove the mandatory element in indoor areas, there is a political decision involved. The medical advisors are clear they only give their opinion on medical issues the government make decisions allowing for other issues too.
But to open nightclubs now, and thus possibly introduce super spreader events for the next 2 months before a passport is needed to get in, and given the vaccine take up in youngsters is pretty poor anyway, is pure stupidity. Open the clubs and bin the passport idea by all means, or keep the clubs closed until the Passport programme is up and running and available to all.
I think it's staggeringly poor decision making, but maybe it's just me
Tesco’s (don’t know about Sainsbury’s) have said face coverings are to be still worn when in their shops.

I had a run in with home bargains 3 times … point made was a shopping trolley of goods left at till because the staff would not ask or reinforce mask wearing! Their head office stated they didn't want to put their staff in danger!!!!! would not llow them to approach offenders ………….. In the pub tonight we all sat at our table and asked for the bill … [we go regular on a TUESDAY … we have 2 pints and first one says 6 pints cheddar and after a while he auto matically does the second round ..all brought to table of course!! .. to night one person acted as Sherpa and distributed the pints as poured ]..... LANDLORD said you want to pay OK, now you can come up to the bar now … with masks on we said "no" normal service you come and collect the money.... "you gotta being kidding" ..of course we all paid at the bar ….. we all had a mask we all wore them in and out sanitized and maintained SD with strangers...……….
The supermarkets are all asking people to wear a mask in their stores if possible, but legally they cannot enforce it after last Monday 17th July when all restrictions were lifted.
On trips to Sainsburys and Tesco, and now Asda too, I have only seen 1 customer without a mask on.
