Once the media hype finishes and those who know football are left to consider the tournament I'd say getting to the final was a fine achievement, irrospective of the result. Though I do consider it an opportunity lost. Clear parallels with the loss to Croatia in the world cup. One up at half time and seemingly comfortable, then going walkabout in the second half and giving the initiative to the opponent.
Not sure why we do that. Also not sure if GS will win anything. I hope he proves me very wrong.

He's not going to get the chance now, venues are all cancelling his gigs.
yeah, just seen that...ha

im not sticking up for him at all, im just saying in his head he probably thought he was being humorous and edgy, i dont know the guy but i would be surprised if he genuinely thought black players where **** at penalties. but with the tension in the world at the moment with black lives matter , and the sickening racist tweets aimed at the England players , it really wasnt the best timing was it,
misjudged and looks like he is going to pay a heavy price for it now.

Tbf the last joke wasn’t bad and wasn’t racist.

It's one of those occasions where if the joke had been 'spoken' to an audience (with the right tone and inflection) it would have got a few gasps and a few laughs - the written word carries no tone, nuance or inflection - it's 100% literal; its the same with emails - I learnt quite early that a hastily composed and rushed out mail can come back and bite you on the arse.

That is barely believable! It must have been some sort of misguided, supposedly satirical thing that backfired surely? Nobody can be that thick and obnoxious, can they?
It's precisely what Natalie Elphick was saying on Sunday night. These are not unique views being expressed here. If he was trying to satirise Elphick, he made it impossible to notice.

There's a lot of out of key literal bullshit on here...

I'm not sure if it is an mentally thing. This is the first generation of players to play a possession based game rather then 'up them and at them' approach.

I dunno who he is anyway
Will be interesting to see if it gives him more notoriety and fame
According to wiki he’s done sod all in his career since about 2015, which figures now. Irrespective of his real intentions, he’s clearly an idiot and deserves to lose his already rubbish career over this. Hold on to that York Comedy Festival newcomer of the year award 2004!

There's plenty of them in the UK, many of them now suffering the consequences of the things they posted. Shaun Drewery, who owns North Ferriby and Swanland Window Cleaning Services, is going to be having a quiet week this week, having posted that there's too many coons in the squad.
You have to laugh, Shaun Drewery, getting grief for his post, says:

He claims he now fears for his life and moaned 'no-one deserves this abuse'.
