thats your opinion mate however Donald ran the academy into the ground, and would have sold the training grounds if he could ,its just been the last bit where its getting better again
Correct and a fair few on here disagreed with me about starting Sanderson iirc. I would love nothing more than the young guns to be given a chance, Jack Diamond has done well since coming in and I’m pretty sure Neil, Hawkes and Patterson could make the step up in this league from what I’ve seen. I remember Neil was a stand out player in last seasons pre season and was in many games during the EFL trophy run. Baffles me how he hasn’t got more game time.

He claimed the academy had millions ploughed into it with nothing to show for it. Clearly he is on the wind up with that comment. It's impossible not to be.

Well by your reckoning I guess every single academy player is overlooked until they get called up. We can throw Henderson and Pickford into that too because they never went straight into the first team after spending a day training at the academy.
thats how you saw it , i saw it as Ellis pumped millions in and Donald ran it into the ground squeezing out every penny he could dropping us down the under 23 leagues, and just because i agree on some of his points he is not my mate i don't know him personally.
You said we overlooked Josh. He made his debut at 17 and was a first team player from the age of 18/19.

at the time where he had progressed far enough to be given a chance but wasn't, until it was forced on the manager through injuries,and other forwards not firing then he couldn't be dropped, just like Sanderson was forced into being played we had him months without a sniff then injuries and drop in form gave him his chance.

well Donald didn't spend millions on the academy, and when Donald was finished we had nothing to show for it
He was overlooked and had to play second fiddle to a loanee who if I remember rightly played about 20 games with only one goal to show for it before returning to Boro., Mumba was, and is a superb footballer, I said this at the time of his debut, Wolves I think, but you disagree and dont rate him , time will tell which one of us is correct , I'm not looking for an argument, nothing about football is written in stone, but you, and Wolfy both make me laugh, peas in a pod, still love ya's though. Josh Maja's chance wasn't brought on by injuries, though? He was used as a substitute and on his second start he replaced James Vaughan.
He actually made his debut a year earlier which clearly showed he wasn't ready and then went back to the under 23's for a season to build himself up more before coming back and trying with the first team.

Again, mate. I'm discussing directly what was said by Pablo. He said the academy had millions ploughed into it and nothing to show for it. That's what I'm replying too. You are adding bits in about Stewart Donald and arguing that point. Nobody has mentioned Stewart Donald, can you not see you're having a different conversation to what has been said?
