What team would you play on tuesday, this is mine:

Harper
Simpson Colo Willo Enrique
Barton Tiote Nolan Jonas
Ranger Best

Basically the same team as at ewood but starting Ranger instead of lovenkrands. Best works hard and Ranger has great pace to give any defence trouble.

Spot on.. same team really.

My personal subs bench : Krul, Sol, Perch, Ferguson, Guthrie, Lover, Kuqi.

Lovenkrands had a cracking game yesterday so I wouldn't drop him. Ranger is more effective as Lovenkrands as a sub (and probably Kuqi but we'll have to see) but I'd like to see Ranger have a chance too. There's something about him though that I dislike though.

Lovenkrands and Ranger for me. Feel sorry for Lovenkrands, works hard off the ball but no one picks him out, Jonas tries but can't pull it off, Barton is capable but can't pick the pass from the right flank. He had a bit of a row with Jose yesterday because he wanted it along the floor rather than over the top. He should've buried the one that hit the bar, but apart from that it's poor play around him which is costing him, he reminds me a bit of Owen the year we went down, having to drop ridiculously deep just to get a touch of the ball. I think Ranger's hold up play would complement Lovenkrands though, he's good at bringing the ball down and finding a team mate. They're the best partnership available to us at the moment in my opinion.

Unless Ben Arfa or Gosling are back (pretty sure they're both out still) the rest of the team picks itself.

Everything you said here, about feeling sorry for him, working hard but no one picking him out, reminding you of Owen I feel exactly the same way. Against arsenal in the second half he was making great runs but Enrique and Jones, Barton and Simpson weren't picking him out... Then yesterday Jose did pick him out, once or twice and was very unlucky not to score.

Once he gets a goal, I think he'll then have the confidence to get more.

Then maybe if its 0-0 after 75min bring off Jonas and bring Best and make it 3 upfront

If everybody is fit after yesterday's game I think it'll be common sense to try and keep the same team together. The more they play together the better the understanding will become.

Good arguments made for Best and Lover (individually), 4-4-2 for me and as long as Ranger starts I'm happy (have been dying to see Ranger and Lover over 90 mins ever since Carroll got injured though).

Good to see the members whose opinions I generally find myself in accordance with most support Lovenkrands here. I agree with everything positive said about him in this thread.

I'd have the usual backline, usual midfield

then krands and besty up front.
