I’m fine mate absolutely fine
I want England to win
It’s a wider thing probably as you get older get less and less happy with the way the game has gone and is going.
And my on line mates on here twisting themself in knots to justify the dive.
<ok>

i understand about the wish to clean the game up but i'm far from comvinced that any of it is a new development*. i recall despising the methods of the"latin" teams when i was a teenager in the 70s when i'd watch such teams perform sublimely and balletically and artistically in their home legs and transform into evil underhanded sneaky immoral unprincipled cheats in the away leg. the jeckyl and hide transformation always seemed 100% unnecessary but perfectly illuminated the latin character with a million megawatt lamp and the truthful words "we are cheating bastards" in mile high neon lights over their heads.

i posted my displeasure at a blatant dive sterling did in one of the group games. that said, he's probably been england's best player so far, and certainly the most creative.

No keen on either set of comms

but I certainly prefer the itv panel
Of Keane souness and Neville hands down to richards shearer and Ferdinand

and Pougatch may shout a bit but preferable to old smuggins

UEFA President Alexsander Ceferin says the pan-continental model of Euro 2020 should be scrapped - “I would not support it any more..I don’t think we will do it again.”

Good, it was a crap idea.

Should just always be at Wembley from now on. <ok>
**** having it across several countries, but you're not quite correct

It should be at Wembley every 2 years and somewhere sunny on alternate years

(nibble)
Those watching ITV won't see much of the panel, they'll have the 'delight' of an assortment of adverts ranging from piss pants for ladies, tablets for hard ons, period blood catchers and various arse creams! :emoticon-0172-mooni

While you’ll have the delights of Ferdinand mangling the English language
Richards interrupting everyone with his irritating laugh
Smuggins providing **** puns and useless stats
And shearer just looking round thinking what is this **** I carried Newcastle for years now these ****s

See my post above. People talk about racism, what I experience in Scotland probably surpasses a lot of what others have experienced.
I arrived in Scotland as a 14 year old kid with a Hull City top and got parachuted into the roughest School in my area.Every night at 3.50,sometimes in the middle of a lesson,I was challenged to fight...I fought back, never ran,if the **** was a big bully boy like your golf club bigot,he got something wrapped around his lug as a leveller...

And as a mirror image of that,we had a kid at Driff Secondary(Norman Short),known as 'Jock',suffered similar..

We're very similar really...Never took it,came through the other side and ended up being someone not to mess with...Life can be tough but it can make you stronger..

I remember Norman very well. A tough scrum half that I played alongside in Driffield colts. A good lad too.

Much like my pre match day routine in Ebenezer's, then post match in Clarendon then! None intended Urika. :emoticon-0111-blush

I remember Dave very well, he bought my jet 200 scooter off me many, many years ago. (Strange how I can still remember the number plate of that scooter but not my mobile number).
Again it was through rugby and then the full measure as I didn't go to school in Driffield. I went on the bus to Bridlington (just don't let Castro know).
Next time you see him give him my regards and ask him for the £5 he owes me.

It's not so much 'snobbish' about the song, it's more the manufactured aspect of them belting out the music at high volumes to orchestrate things. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I prefer the spontaneous aspect of crowd involvement rather than a Last Night of the Proms orchestrated effort..

EDIT to add, it tainted the Wembley visits for me.

This. In a nutshell.

It's all very artificial, stage-managed and naff.

It's like they have no faith in their product and feel the punters need to be managed in case they get too patriotic. .

The passion and support is there, it just needs the right opportunity to be heard. That's why it doesn't need the manufactured performing seals pap. <ok>

I find some aspects slightly chilling, the way 'they control the occasion. The songs, the music etc

Some countries seek to control opinions and shut down the internet, block websites, seek to silence people with 'disruptive' opinions and paint them as a threat.

Remember that when some commentator reads out the script at genuflection time.

Baffles me the way football has so little faith in itself and its identity, and seems determined to reinvent itself to appease a new less discerning audience.

Perhaps it's $$$$.

Hell will be a cold place before you see that £5!! Last time I was with him was in the Falcon after his Mothers funeral...I'm still waiting for him to buy me a drink back..

He kept that scooter in our Grannys coal bunker up Northfield Road:emoticon-0148-yes:
