reet, i think i kept out of this discussion the last time it reared it's head, so here is my two penneth...

i think wolfy/pablo is a bit of a WUM, rarely do i see a post from him and expect positivity but at least i know what to expect...do i agree with him, not always although he has made some decent points, just not in the manner some would prefer and he does come across as 'bitter' if that is the right word, sharp tongued may be another way of putting it.

i can not remember him ever having a go at another poster (the odd little disagreement aside) he is not one to throw random expletives around or call people as i have seen others do...i personally do not have a problem with the lad, but as with any other poster, if he ever steps out of line and...well, starts being a pure kernt, then i would back his ban (as i would any other)

this board is to discuss various topics about the team we support and much as we do when sitting rabbiting on over a pint or three, we will never all agree 100%

So do you agree a person should be banned and his posts deleted without a word of why or when, its not fair its not right, we have all had disagreements on here , I speak as i find and don't do subtle, this is wrong and smacks of Gestapo tactics, explanations are required as to why and re installment a must its for the board to decided do you agree with that sentiment Sam, i twice saw action for this type of **** on a larger scale

He obviously winds up a select group of posters on here and doesn’t fit their positive outlook on all things Sunderland, take away the abrasive posts and this place becomes duller, it needs a balanced view. He is negative but sometimes constructive, he has actually been on the receiving end of quite a bit of abrasive responses and deals with it quite well. I have mates with the the same outlook as him, roll your eyes and let him crack on is the best form of attack. It’s a funny one, mods have a tough job I could never do what they do, the board will be very boring with nothing but positivity though.

I don't believe, for a second, that Wolfy is a Sunderland supporter or that his views are genuine. As such, I don't see any value in them as they're ridiculously predictable. If posting one negative view doesn't get enough reaction he'll just post the exact opposite and see if people bite.

The majority of his 'likes' are from the same few people, which is fair enough, but I don't put much stall by that.

If Wolfy was banned for good reason, such as offensive or threatening pms, then he obviously can't just pop back on under a different name. Otherwise bans are pointless and people can just say anything they like. If that happens the board will descend into anarchy as has happened a few times.

I've no idea why he was banned but I won't pretend I'll miss him. He's boring imo and not really interested in this board, Sunderland or the supporters. I am.

I totally agree mate and there are plenty of various views from people on here. Some posters are equally positive, about the positive aspects, and negative about the negative. But when someone is just totally negative about the club, and constantly digging away at the supporters, I don't see the merit.

Simple answer, put the reason on. Solved.

Well the Pablo one is easy, the person was banned using one name so that person is banned whichever name is used.

As for Wolfy I've no idea.

Not being a Sunderland supporter, or from the NE, isn't a reason.
Well let’s wait and see what Wolfy was banned for, I was reading the post and then he was gone, nothing as far as I could see was a banning offence, but I am sure Gordon will enlighten us when he has time.

He's a WUM with divisive intent. His posts are constantly negative, attention seeking nonsense.

He managed to encourage a few knuckle draggers on here end of last season, which turned into a right pain in the arse and he needed banning.

Wolfy was banned by Armstrong he didn't like him, he came back as Pablo did nothing wrong and was still banned yet again, and to hide it he deleted his 20 odd posts which were all liked by the way. its time for us to ban not one individual with a crusade, or step aside for a more tolerant mod

Maybe a change at the top table is needed.

I'm not sure a members democratic process along the lines suggested by Roger will work. What's needed are some clear, permanent rules about what constitutes a banning offence, every member made aware, and then there can be no argument, and Mods can act consistently, which everyone will understand.
From my perspective, constant winding up is irritating and pointless. To use the analogy some have already mentioned,if we want this board to have the feel of a load of Sunderland fans getting together, chatting and debating in the pub over a pint or two, it wouldn't be long before the constant wind-up merchant, with very little other contribution to make, would lose his invitation.
