He lost his **** against Ukrain and carried on in the same mode tonight.

Agreed.

Against Ukraine it felt like he was getting annoyed because things he can usually do weren't coming off so he tried even harder and it just got worse!

A bit erratic and not a cool head.

Just needs someone to calm him down and give him a bit of support.

This will be ultimate redemption for Southgate…he’s been pretty ****ing awesome…this is the real Golden generation imo

I'm quite impressed with the way Southgate handles himself with the media. Unlike a lot of managers, he don't have to act the boss, he is the boss and does everything with dignity, that makes a big difference when handling young players. Now he has the most difficult job of all, having to select a starting eleven for the final against Italy, and telling some young lads, they will be on the bench, I don't envy him that task.

The only mistake against Ukraine was the coming out to help save a MF/defence error. He just mistimed his kick. Can’t remeber anything else.

maybe I’m bias, but for England he has always been too draw.

It was more than one kick.

He went a bit erratic. Could see it in his face and body language.

Not sure if you have noticed but he has a verey distinct habit of staring straight at the interviewer when being asked a question but looking down to his right when answering.
A sign of thoughtful but honest answers.

some shocking bad balls back to him. Should have got more on the ball from FK. But solid again I thought.

shocking tonight. His kicking was all over the show, the free kick should have been saved and the worse part was 1 throw went to a danish player and 1 kick went to a danish player but he was lucky they didn't punish us with it.

Fortunately, it hasn't cost us but i really hope he gets his confidence back because he was really bad today even though he's had a fantastic tournament

Has Schmeichal called for the competition to be null and voided yet? He normally does when his team can't win it. :bandit:

As does Rio, tbf. <whistle>

I'm not sure if it's a good thing he's keeping the Danes occupied or whether we need to change it. With that free kick just going in, we might need to switch it around a bit.

I actually said to my wife that England need Denmark to score to wake them up

All worked out well in the end

When he lost it in the last game i thought it might be because he was looking at the most clean sheet record.
Tonight i wondered if he has gone like that because he knows if we lose he will probably get most of the blame.
Pressure is a bastard, specially if you know that many would prefer another in your place.

Bloke is a ****ing legend mate. Second most successful England manager ever.

To quote some famous commentary: "Gareth Southgate, the whole of England is with you."

Its coming!

We win and he is the focus of all that was wrong.
I’m off.
