Don't be so ****ing soft. The man has had a great tournament and most have said that. It's a fact that he has looked rattled in the last two games (without making a mistake) and if you can't see and accept that then it's your problem not others.
Yep. I mean, that's least of important to me really, but as a nation full of ****s it's nice to have a proper gentleman represeesnt us. ****ing love this team and manager.
It is amazing that.crap players often make great managers and great players nearly always make crap managers
Mental mate. At the time I couldn't believe how upset people were getting over it; it's all about the end result rather than how you get there. Weird though cos at the time anybody who wasn't calling it a disgrace was accused of happy clapping etc... But as I said at the time, it was quite clearly a tough match and one we didn't perform well enough in. Ultimately though I was slated for saying I wouldn't judge an individual result over the whole tournament as it's irrelevant really. I said at time that although it was a disappointing result/performance that if we go on to have a good tournament then that result in isolation means nothing. I mean, really, if you still are fuming with that result and want to use it as a stick to beat Southgate with, then are you truly a supporter? Or an example of self-entitled English arrogance who doesn't realise our true level in the world game? I mean, I'll admit that I have bias as I've always liked Southgate, but hes surely now the 2nd most successful England manager ever? And those with big (and understandable) doubts need to now give him credit?
I honestly don't think that'll be a problem, because of the team spirit the whole England set up has built into this squad. Jack Grealish was smiling at the final whistle last night. When Gary Lineker interviewed Terence Trent Armchair the other night, he wasn't full of self pity, he was overjoyed at the team's success. That's the mentality that Southgate has built, they're all in it for each other, no egos. The only thing we know for sure is, he’ll pick who he wants and he won't be dropping Kane or Sterling.
