The fact that so many were willing to burn 09 and call the contract renewal impossible is a joke.

Never been the case. Professional discussion had and club were positive in keeping him. It happened. Good move all round.

Just because he looks like a naïve kid, people expect him to behave like one ...

... more fool them.

And it took 5 days! His contract ran out on the 30th June. He signed a new one 5 days later!

to be fair, he is a rare breed. A proper lad who loves his football and wants to be part of something. We are so lucky to have him.

He HAS to be captain. He ticks every box more than once.
We gave a group on here who don’t even think he should be playing every week. Decent back up I believe!

A good manager should be able to identify every player's best position and play him there ...

... I don't want to see the lad shunted around the pitch for another season.
I do think it’s been an absolute necessity over the past season. Would just love to see him played in midfield consistently. Lots of work to do in the squad to make sure it doesn’t continue to be a necessity

The home game against Doncaster was probably our most complete performance of the season and him being in centre midfield was one of the major elements in the performance.
He did well for us at CB but can better use him in midfield.
Pleased he’s signed.
Good luck to the lad.
Clueless man! He’s our 14th choice midfielder so obviously not good enough. The “realists” said it so it must be true…..

Would be first choice midfield if they had first or even second choice option for ever other area on the pitch. But being so versatile and not to mention utter professional he is the also first choice to cover in defence when we are short. He always gave it 100% few players would be happy playing out of position for such a big run of games.

We have had a player recently that didn't want to play in his favoured position or any other just wanted the cash.

SShhhh whisper it quietly - Wolfy or whatever he's decided to call himself has other ideas! But good to know its been done properly and its all sorted, hopefully there's more new signings to follow.
