Steven Berghuis has moved to Ajax on a 4 year deal for 8 million. Feyenoord losing their team captain to Ajax for such a small sum will wind up their fans no end - could be interesting when he visits De Kuip this year.

So he hasn't really lost much in terms of market value over the last six years - that's just under a million less than what Feyenoord paid us for him, which was the same as what we paid Alkmaar for him, although we did get a loan fee for him at one point.

It's still a mystery to me why we paid all that money for him and only gave him a bit part in a handful of games.
