Work permits have always baffled me since the good old days of champ man 4 when my signings would get knocked back because of permit. As long as you are willing to sign and pay a player there should be no drama.
Strange that the journos have picked up on it then. Hopefully it's not an issue if he is one we want.
Not sure how good this site is but thought I'd post. Hopefully it's good and we get the deal over the line https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/w...encouraging-verdict-amid-sunderland-interest/
So thatll be a Georgian International and a Kosovan International that we have if he signs up. That can only be a good thing really.
On the subject of incoming transfers, I see there is a tendency over the road amongst some of the more cerebrally challenged participants,to denounce the potential signing of a player who looks as though he would significantly improve our squad as highly improbable on the basis of "if he's that good, why isn't he going to a Championship club". In other words,if we sign someone,he can only be a League 1 player, incapable of improvement. No benefit of doubt allowed either that he may capable of playing right at the top of League 1.
I reckon he'll just get Giorgi ... or Georgie or Gorgy or Gorky, maybe even Korky (at least he's a Black Cat)
Taking a stab at a translation I'd say they're claiming he's close to signing for a Portuguese club ... ... which contradicts the claim that he's close to signing for us.
