I'm excited as it's the biggest game for years. Don't give a **** about how we've played so far; it doesn't get any bigger than England v Germany at Wembley in a major tournament ko match. I also don't think it's a foregone conclusion. Sure I won't be surprised if we did lose but this is the closest these two teams have been for ages. Home advantage too. You're not one for hype trains? Yeah not unless it's a Liverpool signing you've watched a 4 minute YouTube video of and read some tweets abouts you ****ing clown
Yeah that’s not how betting odds work with football fixtures Ryan. Have you done an all-nighter or something?
Now now Libby. Theres no need to start chuking names about cos im not beating the 3 lions on my chest. Im sorry ive upset you but really no need for that.
Scholars of the game like myself won’t be thinking we will win because we are ‘due’ a win or ‘x amount of years of hurt’ will see us through, we just need to turn up singing ‘3 lions on a shirt’ etc etc out of the 3 games we have played, the biggest test has been the Scotland game due to the history behind the fixture. It was the game we picked up the least points in and failed to score. The Germans on the other hand lost their first game and went a goal behind in the 2nd. They turned the screw and smashed in 4. Last night they clawed their way back into the game on two occasions. A lot of fans think we have some 3rd gear we can slip into, I haven’t seen it. The Germans though, they have got these gears and don’t have a problem finding them when required. Hope we win like, jus saying tho I don’t see boring Gary inspiring that extra ooomph out of the lads just like he failed to pull it out against Scotland. Yes I know the Southgatistas think we played a superb game and got ourselves a draw but that’s not what I saw. Come on England
So you agree its not really a good measure of how strong a team is then. Tel offers bet - sucky flirts with bet and counters - tel ****s it = standard
Don't talk nonsense about you not getting involved in hype and I won't call you a clown bro. I just don't get your issue? You don't like international football but you're taking offence to those that do getting excited about playing our biggest rivals in a ko match at home.
I'm not sure anyone thinks that tbh mate. I still have them as slight favourites but think it's as close to 50/50 as it has been a long time. Also not convinced we have a 3rd gear but I'm hopeful that we might get a more space against a better side whose first thought won't be to defend. Wouldn't be surprised at all if it went to pens. Pretty sure you've made your penultimate sentence up.
Bro clearly my lack of national pride has got you all over the place. Ive taken offence to no ones excitement. Rather i suggest that You've taken offence to me being realistic. Ive seen nothing from that england team thats got me excited one bit.
Good morning There was no aggression in my post young Padwan I was merely looking beyond my pint glass and providing a deeper understanding of the psychological strengths/weaknesses of both the teams in preparation for the round of 16 tie taking place next week. C u next Tuesday bro
I thought you took exception to those being excited about the game in general. Not those who think we'll win. Fair enough if that's the case. I don't know how it's going to go but I'm not ready to write us off completely this time. Got to have a bit of hope.
