Yet another match that proves my decision NOT to watch England anymore coz they're ****E. Was the right one.

Genuinely can't think of one good thing (by which, I include a decent first touch) Sterling did. He literally ruined every attack he was involved in.

Shame really because he was playing very well not so long ago and I thought he could make a difference to the England team.

He ran in behind a couple times and had one dribble.

All kane did was one ball round the corner and then couldnt run and had the ball taken off him.

Don't be surprised if Southgate continues with 2 holding midfielders and churning out turgid football.
He's clearly bought into the idea that if you don't lose games you'll go far in tournaments. He keeps telling everyone that this is a tournament and he's playing tournament football.

I'm surprised he hasn't brought out the Greece example yet.
Problem is that the game has moved on from Greece and Mourinho type football (hence why Mourinho keeps getting sacked) and that England don't have the defence to keep good teams out to hold onto a 1-0.

It'd be fine bar the fact that he has pickford in goal who just falls over before the kicker strikes the ball.

Mings did fine last night. No issue. Stones was only alright

Another one that was frustrating me last night. He had lots of opportunities to release the ball quickly and setup a counter but he kept hanging on to it [HASHTAG]#smallclubmentality[/HASHTAG]

This isn't good for England. France winning the group would mean we'd avoid them in the next round no matter what

Kane looks like he is either injured or so worried about getting injured ,therefore ****ing up any transfer chance , that he won't even break into a trot .
Thought at the time the squad was selected that Watkins should have been included as he will constantly make runs so creating passing options and / or dragging defenders out of position so freeing up space for Foden , Mount et al .

Kane is gone, he started youngish and has been consistently overplayed and just returns too quickly from injury and "must play"

Imo hes slowed down quite a bit and if I were spurs I'd be selling him up for 100mil. Yes hes a goalscorer but imo he has already peaked.

To be fair, Portugal won it last time by only winning one game within 90 minutes in the entire tournament (well done Wales), so there might be something in it.

We also got to a semi final by only scoring from set pieces so not sure why anyone’s expecting us to create a tonne of chances.

which makes me wonder why he won’t play Grealish as he’s prob best chance at winning fouls around the box to score from.

thought Germany were looking good before the goal. Then they forgot how to Defend. Havertz ended up marking neither Ronaldo or Jota and just stood in middle of them <doh>
