It all depends how much he enjoyed his time with us

I would love to see him on a 3 year contract

I think it might depend on a few factors. Does Gaz want him (I reckon yes). Money, feeling wanted and valued by the team (I reckon yes), wanting to play at a higher level, location from family.

If we could get him on a 4 year deal then 1 year getting promoted back to championship, 1 year keeping us in the championship, more money as he has 2 years remaining.

I've just read that him and Knight have both signed a contract extension at Leicester so the best we can hope for is a loan again.

I would have thought they would be aiming for championship football, but fingers crossed.

Wycombe Wanderers striker Uche Ikpeazu is being linked with a return to the Championship following his side’s relegation – all of Derby County, Middlesbrough, Millwall and Nottingham Forest are being linked.

If he goes for 500k, which I think is his release clause, then he will be a bargain. He really showed what a handful he can be in those last dozen games. I just hope Gaz has a replacement lined up.

But how much will it cost to replace him? Could we be lucky enough to get a striker, who is almost unplayable at this level, on a freebie too?

As a like for like replacement it would be hard, however if Gaz has 500k who knows what he could get. He got the entire squad for less than that.

Sheffield Wednesday are ‘still pushing’ to sign released Everton youngster Dennis Adeniran, who spent last season on loan with Wycombe Wanderers. Adeniran, 22, will leave Everton following the expiry of his contract at the end of this month

Surprised we aren't after him. Unlikely Sheff W will attract him "The Owls seem to be having a tough time in the transfer market – issues with unpaid wages and such still linger and so it’s proving hard for them to tempt anyone to the club whilst all the uncertainty rumbles on."

I understand O'Nien has refused to re-sign for Sunderland. Could he possibly join up with Scowen? No, surely not

I read recently that several Championship clubs are looking to sign him Ron so i'd imagine he's waiting to see what offers are made but i doubt if we could afford him.

According to Sunderland wage bill Josh Scowen was getting £8,100 a week and Luke just £4,000

Scowen was their 3rd highest earner

    Weird

Scowen on £8,100 a week? F*ck me surely we can't afford to pay a player that or the rest of the squad will not be happy.

I wonder where they get these figures from. I can't imagine we are paying Stockdale £20k a week but that is what is reported
