According to some washed-up Portugueezer we won half a trophy last season I trust the Pond Life regulars will be popping over to mention this...
Shame he was not this humble 2 years ago when they came in for him. Wouldn't have wasted the past 18 months if he'd been less ego driven back then. Hopefully he has sorted himself out.
He's had 2 years on £100k a week (or whatever we paid.him). I'm sure he will get less at Watford, so he was acting very clearly in securing his family going forward. It would have been less about humility and all about cold hard cash.
Allegedly on about £60k pw and he missed out on whatever signing bonus he'd have got, so he's almost certainly missed out financially. You'd have thought he'd have either got a pay rise or at least matched it originally, but I doubt he'll get that now.
Signed his last contract in Dec 2016 for £65k per week plus bonuses. For the last 2 years he's got no bonuses and not playing cost him his England place. Imo he turned down Watford cos he thought he was to good for them...hence the "any calls from milan" quote. Like PNP said I think he would have cost himself money. But I genuinely hope he has got his head together and enjoys the ending to his career.
It was a video from all of the teams at the Euros and the officials wishing Eriksen well posted by the Danish FA, but I've no idea why they've set it to private. Pretty wholesome stuff. Strange.
He played 7 games on loan at Watford in 2009 under Brendan Rodgers, for anyone that doesn't know why they're talking about him being back. I didn't remember that either, to be honest!
On slightly reduced wages (the difference will be used to hire a coach proven in teaching players the offside rule) .
Really nice touch from all involved. Thought the refs at the end were particularly great with the signed shirt.
