    I believe so.

Just downloaded the NHS app and in process of validation. May take up to 7 days.

But appears if you on a Covid clinic trial, the results are not held on the NHS app. ( Bugger)

I don’t think it will take that long, unless it’s governed by high demand. I downloaded the app in January and was set up and registered within an hour (quite impressed with the variety of identification required, seems pretty secure) because it seemed much easier to get repeat prescriptions on it. Added bonus was that the COVID jabs (via the NHS website rather than via GP) just showed up on it about 24 hours after I had them - all details including dates, batch numbers etc, QR code and the info downloadable via email or as a pdf. Pleasantly surprised.

What surprises me is that there doesn’t seem to be much publicity about it. I’d have thought that they’d be yelling out that, if you want to demonstrate that you have had the jabs, in this country at least (not sure of its status for travel) download this app, and you’ll be able to do other handy stuff with your GP practice as well.

I couldn't bring myself to watch Hancock's performance yesterday, but from what I've seen he told the enquiry that advice in January suggested that there could be 820,000 deaths (implying that he was therefore personally responsible for saving 690,000 lives) and that the reason for not locking down until late March was that it had been suggested that the public would get bored if it went on for too long. The was never a shortage of PPE, so that's okay, and the reason for sending infected people into care homes was that there weren't enough tests available at the time. Pants on fire.

He definitely runs around his house wearing a cape shouting “Super Matt”.

There was never a national PPE shortage. Just various local shortages, which is different.

His statement was so full of **** yesterday.
In March Boris was still shaking hands we had the Cheltenham festival, borders open,no masks etc etc ...and 2 months before Hancick was told there would be 800,000 deaths...then that is even more unforgivable if true.

If there was never a shortage of PPE, is that not counter to his argument we had rush around to get contracts ( which is his excuse as to why the contracts were given to his sister and Gove's mates).

And the "not enough tests argument" for putting infected people into care homes is just morally wrong. Any sensible person would appreciate what havoc that could and did cause.

Dominic Cummings has blamed Hancock firmly for a lot of the mistakes.
I am beginning to side with Cummings on this

So a bit of really interesting news. That many of you will take as rubbish.

I sit on an innovation and research committee at a well known hospital.they have been doing a research project in training sniffer dogs to detect Covid. ( It is already trialled with cancer patients with some success).

And it is working incredibly well....the dogs are over 95% accurate... Really.yes

That is in the range of the lateral flow test accuracy.

The group are trying to get more funding to train more dogs...think how useful this would be at big events like football matches, theatres, festivals and theatres

What is the surprise here Ellers...
It has become apparent how much I hate Hancock..
I hate Cummings too... But one of them is telling more of the truth than the other.

Well there was a huge shortage in Thames Valley and South Midlands area. I know that first hand.. ( and alot of the PPE that came through in first wave was not fit for purpose)

And that is one of the largest areas and in the South East.

Beth I think it's evident that you and few others on here just hate the government and whatever they do will always be wrong in your eyes.
Let's all support Cummings! yeah, he's the man!

No one is saying he’s the man- rather déjà vu to Col’s episode on this topic a week or two back- but he did have an almost unique insight into the situation at the time.

You can bury your head in the sand for another 15 months if you want but we aren’t quite North Korea yet so there remains a small chance of a proper process being followed, as hard as that is for Tory cucks to accept.

Again, as with your same totally moronic argument two weeks ago, that would make some sense if Cummings’ word was the only evidence that Hancock isn’t telling the truth.
