Absolute bollocks isn’t it!
It’s the moving of the goalposts that pisses me off!

Every vulnerable person has had the offer of a vaccination. The uptake has been one of the best in the world. Why should we have to wait for healthy 25 year olds to get a jab? That was NEVER spoken about when the rollout. I thought the vaccination scheme would pretty much stop once the over 50’s had been done.

I do agree the goal posts keep getting moved, originally it was wait until all the older folk to get jabbed, even calls by some for them to stay at home. Now we are working on the 20 somethings and we are still in virtual lockdown.

I think I saw 1 death reported yesterday, and maybe 11 today, but in a population of nigh on 70 million people.

Portugal got added to the green zone, so I thought other countries would naturally follow, but no, we know now, it was purely done for the Champions League imho.

You have to have a balance of which is going to cause the most hurt, and at the moment all I see is the prospects of travel companies and airlines tumbling over, and all the jobs that go with that - not just in the UK, but the whole of Europe.

There has to be an element of risk in everything in life, and I'm currently not seeing anything that justifies these latest sacrifices, as long has people act sensibly.

What they say and what they do are two different things though init....what else do politicians do, they just regurgitate the so called truths from corporations, its a simple game which seems to fool them lacking any critical thinking.

12-15 Yr olds are looking likely to have it given in schools.........why ffs...........no way will my kid be having it whilst in testing period.

Completely agree. At the moment, I can’t see anything in the figures that is particularly worrying. A lot of indoor type events reopened three weeks ago. They must have realised that cases would go up. If the cases had stayed the same, then surely we should be questioning why we bother to lock down in the first place!

I know they worry about the virus mutating, but that's going to be life now. You can't keep shutting the economy down, that will kill even more people, when they lose their financial security.

You get more people seriously injured or killed by cars on the road everyday. Do we ban cars, of course we don't, life carries on as normal.

The pandemic is effectively over in my view. I'll be cracking on as normal now regardless of what them ****s say.

I was listening to radio this morning. A former medical advisor was asked if lockdown should be extended. He pretty much said that lockdown should continue until ‘COVID has gone’. The presenter went onto talking about reasonable risks that we take in life to enjoy it.
‘Would you go skiing, even though you could end up breaking your neck?’ She asked.
‘If you love your family, why would you take the risk?!?’
Let me repeat, this was a former medical advisor to the government! This is the type of **** that we are up against.
Time for Boris to tell em all to **** off I reckon.

I honestly believe in years to come people will look back on this period with utter astonishment that we ruined millions of people's lives for a disease, which on average, kills people about the same age as the current life expectancy.

Never fly with Ryan Air

A one way ticket to Portugal; £17-00

A one way ticket back to England a day early £285-00

To be fair to Ryanair I don't blame them. There is only so long they can keep supporting this nonsense before Mike O'Leary calls it a day. He's been very outspoken about all this, so it's not like he's just rolling over for Boris.
