Interesting. Spreads out the debt burden over a longer term and gives us a bit more short-term wiggle room in terms of finances. Not seen it reported anywhere else though.
Seems to be at just under 3% on average so costs £7.5m a year. I think we may have lost about £200m of cash because of Covid so more than makes up for that which implies we could spend £150m or so but lots of guesswork in there
Suspect it may also be as much about safely affording the right manager and keeping the right players as it is buying new ones. Bumper contracts for Son and Kane, and buying Ten Hag out of Ajax, anyone? Obviously not all that the money is for but it’s about having the safety net I suppose.
Conte or Poch, Poch or Conte.........Come Friday it will be Potter, and it would need to be Harry Fekking Potter to win a Trophy with Levy holding the purse strings.
They forgot to include the 11th player, for some reason. It's Son. Not sure if an Asian player's ever been in it before.
There's been some inevitable moaning about this. It's far too similar to all the other rabona nutmeg goals in derby matches, I guess.
Apparently they should only count if they were scored for the winning side is one I've seen From our own fans Yeah, we're not a contrary bunch of moaning moaners who moan endlessly about moaning...
Because of the result. Good goal but it will always remind me of a gutless performance by Spurs in a big game
Lamela winning Goal of the Season got me thinking about the 1981 FA Cup final. City scored two of the outstanding FA Cup goals in its history (the Hutchinson diving header and the Mckenzie Volley) but not only did they go on to lose the final replay they lost to an even better goal.
And if this forum had been around then, you can bet that 90% of posters would have wanted Ricky Villa dropped for the replay because he played poorly in the first match.
Steve Perryman wanted him dropped. He didn't like the way he walked off. Said he didn't realise that it was cos Villa thought he'd let everyone down...he thought it was petulance. I heard him say it on a Danny Kelly interview called my sporting life. A great set of interviews
Saw the poor sod get pushed into Larkswood pool summer 1982, because he got recognised.by the crowd pool-side. Took it in good spirit though.
