And isn't fit for purpose...……..If true not unexpected, it happens sometimes when a new manager takes over a weak squad.
I'm sure there's a job needs filling in L2 or the Conference.

Because it was an opportunity for him and he loved the club...Why would he have signed if he was unhappy with the way the club was being run? which means he must have been happy, so self inflicted, if you are inferring that he signed for the money that says as much about him as it does the running of the club.
Onfer's LJ excuse number 101, it was the backroom staff's fault guv.

Can't see it myself.....media hype!!
You can never tell I guess. Sunderland do get through a hell of lot of Managers, and under new and very ambitious owners that are still stuck with a club in L1 for at least another season, so nothing would surprise me.Can't see it myself.....media hype!!

Ahh OK, so you are saying, the backroom staff have been great.......good for you!!![]()
Plenty Sunderland supporters still backing Johnson, the fracas outside the ground was down to a minority of fcukwits, we all have them.
Quite intriguing reading this thread, Johnson must have done a decent job, can't remember yous reaching the dizzy heights of the championship top half since the 70s, until Johnson rocked up. Maybes his sacking was a bitter pill to swallow, hence the reason that you can't let go, and there was me thinking that it was the rovers that were called the gas.
Best regards.
Good answer mate, there are some amongst who as you say can't let go, there was a lot of of us would have given him the boot ages ago so no bitter pills to worry about, maybe a gag would have been better. With us 4.5 years and gained 5 places, I wouldn't call that dizzy heights, I hope he is a success for you and you get no streakies.Plenty Sunderland supporters still backing Johnson, the fracas outside the ground was down to a minority of fcukwits, we all have them.

He got you fairly close to the prem, don't think I'll have many regrets seeing as the previous bod was Phil Parkinson. It's all in the future, but, the club is in a major phase of rebuild since our takeover, Johnson ( at present) suits the owners vision into the future. He hasn't even had a full window, not loads of time to implement his stamp either, what with the congestion of fixtures and the covid outbreak at the club. As ever, time will tell.No other manager in the history of BCFC has had anywhere near 65 signings in 4 years. And left City with a squad bereft of quality and needing extensive surgery.
You will regret ever employing Johnson.
Best regards.

Your not allowed on here with common sense like that...Plenty Sunderland supporters still backing Johnson, the fracas outside the ground was down to a minority of fcukwits, we all have them.

If he didn’t do any of the above what the hell did he do , and why did we bother paying him at all ?The real problem is he had his time and was sacked and to be fair never ever made excuses 'once he was gone'. Others do that for him. But apparently he never had any power, never made any signings, never agreed to any sales, probably never picked the team, formulated the formation or tactics, probably given scripts, it was all done by the CEO and now apparently his backroom staff, but still he signed a 4 year contract but was probably paying subs weekly and not being paid.

I’ve no idea if he’ll be any good for you guys, I doubt it though, I’d be surprised if he’s still with you this time next year as soon as he goes on one of his losing streaks you’ll get rid.Plenty Sunderland supporters still backing Johnson, the fracas outside the ground was down to a minority of fcukwits, we all have them.
