Parker to hold talks with Johansen and ask if he wants to stay or leave for QPR. I didn't realise this was the second consecutive promotion season they had dumped him for, why would he want to go back there?
It doesn’t sound like anything that will happen too quickly. Rather an interesting request to Johansen ... “are you committed to us?” ... I’d say “what Mr f***ing Parker; like you are committed to me each year you dump me after getting promoted? Hmmm, let me think about that answer”.

Why does the sentence contain..."and leave for QPR".

He is under contract to Fulham for another year. So even if the conversation goes

Fulham can say. ...."OK you can go but QPR are too close. We are happy to let you go if another team comes in with say £3 million".

He can say he wants to leave, he can say he wants to come here (because he thinks we have a chance next year), but that is really not gonna cut any mustard.
He can dig his heels in for a move here, but Fulham will ask us for big fee, which we wont pay

Can't see this happening I am afraid...SO hope I am wrong

Unfortunately, this is a likely scenario.

question, why would you keep an unhappy player that could be disruptive to your plans for next season. we had that with BOS and only when he left did things change for the better...
That is true, but BOS went to Fenebache and not a direct competitor.
He only went after signing a precontract agreement with the Turks.

All I am ( saying is I am worried Fulham will put a price tag on him outside our range (which will not be high), and some of the rich, less FFP concious clubs (Derby, Forest, Boro) or parachute clubs (Bmouth(?), Sheff Utd, WBA) will buy him over our heads

I think he will leave Fulham but for the “correct price”.

There may be several suitors for him with bigger budgets than ours.

He is a great player!

Here is the article for those interested. Reading between the lines I think his time at Fulham might be done. He's only got a year left, can't command that big a fee can they?, I've seen £1.8m mentioned as the valuation but how accurate this is I've no idea.

Johansen has also said it was convenient for his family with a kid in school to move close, to QPR, so he may still not want to go to a Club outside the London area, This would reduce the number of Clubs he maybe interested in.

Johanson’s value is clearly dropping. Currently is estimated at 2MEUR.

Had we done that we might not have matched Leicester, but we could have been close.

The board were naive to put it mildly and should (and did) shoulder the blame and cover the cost. But the criminals were Warnock, Hughes and Redknapp who exploited that naivety to the max to further their own reputations, and couldn’t even do that properly. ****ers.

Anyway, we live with the consequences and are perhaps turning the corner, at last.
Agree with Sparkless & Wonky knees but with Warnock, wasnt everything last minute for some reason, like trying to find sprouts at 5pm xmas eve....and getting SWP

I am hugely biased against Colin, my opinions can’t be trusted. He’s just a horrible person, and probably ruined Prince Harry’s life along with causing all the other ills in the world.

See what I mean? I’m beyond redemption…….

Although I genuinely do think he pretended to Fernandes et al that getting players like Barton, Luke Young, Anton Ferdinand, Armand ‘hello birds hello sky’ Traore, let alone headless chicken SWP would guarantee safety…….no attempt at loyalty to the lads who got us promoted (loan out Clint FFS) and who had a bond, replaced with toxic careerists.
