    Two articles in an hour. I'm beginning to feel like Tash. :(

    Anyway, Taylor should be back in contention for the game with Birmingham, according to the Journal he is "in contention for at least a spot on the bench". Should he come straight back into the side? He was playing well before his injury and lets face it Colo is wasted at CB.

    The Argentine almost scored another wonder goal yesterday. Chesting down a corner, flicking it over the onrushing defender with his right foot before lashing a left footed volley which Robinson did brilliantly to save. That after the beautiful goal he scored against Spurs, and the twenty yard header he crashed against the cross bar against Wigan.

    I'm telling you, he's number 9 material, get Tayls back in defence and get Colo up front. He's the answer to our striker crisis.

    Hmm not too sure about that , Coloccini has been immense at CB this season. But it's worth a try!

    It's catching. <yikes>

    Don't worry though, that wasn't Tash-like, you included a keeper. I wouldn't mind seeing Taylor at RB and pushing Simpson onto the wing and Barton back in the centre. It's weird that Taylor coming back gives us some new attacking options, I doubt any of them would actually work, but I'd love to see Colo playing centre forward.

    I actually like that. Whether Pardew would play such a formation remains to be seen. Coloccini has enough footballing skills to push up and be more attack minded. His control and shot yesterday was sublime. Play the way City did yesterday with 2 DM's and all out attack wingers. We do have the players to pull it off! Esp when Ireland and Ben Arfa return!

    To be honest I think Coloccini would do brilliant as an anchorman.

    noooo leave him at CB, he is good at corners but hardly a striker..
    we arent gonna drop nolan, barton, tiote, or even ireland for him - he had done great at CB; leave hiM!

    *SIGH* no.

    I was going to go on a rant as why to not move Colo from CB due to the article title, but then as i saw it was a joke article involving putting him upfront i thought i had been spared the trouble, but no;

    The great CB pairings involve a ball playing CB (colo) and a destroyer (taylor/willo) this combo of the two playing styles is what makes them so effective at dealing with different types of threat (see: rio/vidic - carvalho/terry).

    Then, not content with weakening our defence, you want to weaken our midfield as well. Colo can pass the ball well FOR A CENTER BACK. I dont recall any CB playing in DM to great effect, maybe there's a reason for that. Also, Colo played there once already, and he was ****e. I'm sure Guthrie could do a much better job, or Gosling(when fit), or any of our midfielders. why? because they're actually midfielders.

    ^ This but at the same time I'll love to see Colo in a more advanced position and it doesn't have to be in midfield, his technique, skill and overall composure is absolutely brilliant(as shown by the Spurs and Blackburn games), it'll be very interesting to see him play upfront, surely worth a try?

    Doubt Pardew will agree though... :(

    I like this one. mainly because i'm an advocate of the 4231, unfortunately it works best with a striker like Carroll upfront <steam>
