Why do you keep claiming to speak for all fans staying away? I see plenty on here and Social Media saying they're staying away because they don't want to give money to the Allams and see that as the best way to try to force them out. I don't understand the notion of denying them money if not to try to force them to sell up.

Not drinking at Weatherspoons because you don't like the owner is so daft I don't even know where to begin with it. Do you not buy from Amazon? Not own any Apple devices? Do you do Due Diligence on all companies you put money into? And comparing Weatherspoons to a football club is equally daft. A business with millions of customers v a football club with tens of thousands in the stadium is a slightly different scale, and particularly given going into a Weatherspoons doesn't give you any innate joy unless you're a really peculiar individual.

There's a certain joy to getting a pint and a burger and change from a tenner. But it isn't a particularly nice pint, and it isn't a particularly nice burger, and you have to take a longer shower than normal afterwards.

I have a vague memory of eating at a Weatherspoons once when visiting Tower of London, and the sentiment lines up. I think I'd avoid them just because I fancy a good meal before I even start browsing into ownership history.

Ownership history is largely the same at every football club. You have to be a rich man to buy one and you only get rich by being single minded, driven and ruthless in your own interest.
So there's usually a honeymoon period, then there'll be some controversy, then there'll be a malaise, then administration, then new owners and the cycle repeats.

Of course there are exceptions. But the cycle repeats more often than it doesn't.

In fact there's a similarity there with most businesses, governance, dynasties or empires. It's just the life-cycle and you can only hope the next one is better than the last.

And most Spurs fans would be happy if Arsenal ****ed off back south of the river.

    I wouldn't.
He's either toying with us or the speculation has got legs.

Simon Jordan by his own admission blew his reported fortune of c£75m when Crystal Palace entered administration, I therefore suspect with the Allams asking price it's a non starter.

Not drinking at Weatherspoons because you don’t like the owner is very normal. Personally I’m not quite as rigid as that, I’ll go in with others who really want to but with any choice I avoid it, because I don’t like the owner.
Amazon- I very much avoid unless I can’t get things anywhere else, which I can’t remember being the case for years so I do t use them.
Apple - Slightly less bothered by them on tax at least as at least they have actual shops in city centres, but as I’ve never bought anything from them I haven’t had much cause to consider it yet.

It’s simply principles. Some people have different ones, and some people have stronger ones, but it’s condescending of you to rubbish someone’s actions on their principles as ‘daft’

I'd go further. More than condescending - naive, ignorant and arrogant.

I'll walk back on calling him daft for not eating somewhere on principle - although my point was more regarding consistency in all purchases - but equating it to not going to a football match is rather silly when the relative financial impact is completely different.

In other words you're making an assumption because, let's face it,no-one really knows.

So it isn't because we're too far away from London then?

Why would we want an owner with a track record of administration?

Well if you have been offering something for sale for 7 years after you said if no one wants to buy it you would give it away in 24 hours. You could make a reasonable assumption that either they don't want to sell or it's too dear

Oh and add to that, loads of other clubs have been bought and sold

My bet is they'll sell when Ehab gets bored with it.
