Congratulations to all Hull City faithful supporters and all others too! It's always nice to check tables and records when first placed is secured. Enjoy happy moments!
You remembered them.I remember TWS losing a few, but can't remember who beat them. But it was the fact they were beaten not who beat them that was the important thing.
Most play-off final defeats: 4 – Sheffield United (1997, 2003, 2009, 2012), Reading (1995, 2001, 2011, 2017), Brentford (1997, 2002, 2013, 2020) Highest scoring play-off match: 10 goals – Swindon Town 5–5 Sheffield United (League One Semi-final second leg, 2015) Highest scoring tie (aggregate): 13 goals – Swindon Town 7–6 Sheffield United (League One Semi-final, 2015) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Football_League_play-offs
One ot two have a100% record. Needless to say Norwich are one of them. Only 2 clubs have won play off finals in all 3 divisions. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Football_League_play-offs
I've just checked on the list you posted, and Blackpool and Huddersfield have both won play off finals in all three divisions. I didn't look further, so if there are more, your question is flawed, if not, then those are the two you mentioned.
No it isn't. We have won 100% of the play off finals we have been in. Norwich have won the only one they were in. 100% record again. I think West Ham have won the only ones they were in. Blackpool have won play off finals in all 3 divisions but have been in 7 play off finals winning 5 and losing 2 so not 100% record. It isn't my statements which are flawed.
And unless you can point me at other clubs that have done it (which would make your statement incorrect) my answer to the bit I'm responding to is right. You posted "Only 2 clubs have won play off finals in all 3 divisions." My response to someone asking who was "Blackpool and Huddersfield". If my answer is wrong, your statement is wrong.
It was two separate statements. The question was asked who had a 100% record? I said one or two, a few as per the definition. I then said only 2 clubs had won playoffs in all 3 divisions, a completely separate statistic.
Yep, and it was clearly that one I was responding to. So, it was Huddersfield and Blackpool then. Ta.
Jeez, it's like pulling teeth. I responded to one part of your post, with what you agree is the correct answer. Previously you said it wasn't, because you'd mistakenly assumed I was referring to the other bit. So your initial statement wasn't flawed, (but would have been had my answer been wrong) it was your response that was incorrect. You were at cross purposes, but we got there in the end.
