League Table

With just one week remaining this is how the table looks. Hackney leads by exactly 50 points over Matej - still possible that this can be bridged. A very close battle developing for 3rd place with theghost and Charlie both doing well to close the gap on Mark. For the second week in a row one of our 'Merry Wives' got the highest score - this time it was Mrs Andy (her other half is propping up the family league !). A close battle also developing for the exalted 9th place ! Next week we will know who is the new champion - will Matej win for the second year in a row, or will it be Hackney ? Or will Mark, theghost or Charlie get all their tips spot on and spring a late surprise ?​

I’m looking to score 450+ points next Saturday. Please advise me, cologne, as to how I can do this. I’m assuming:

10 x unique correct scorelines, thus hitting the joker as well
Naming the line-ups of all fixtures before they are published
All goal-scorers and the minutes in which they score
The shots on/off target for each fixture
The birth-signs and blood groups of the first person to take a throw-in in every fixture

Am I missing anything?

I’m not sure if we still get points for unique scorelines but just in case go for 6-0 to the away team in every match just to make sure they are all unique and that should see you storm through the 450 barrier. Only drawback I can think of is if they don’t all actually finish 6-0 but that’s literally the only downside. The odds of that outcome by the way are 81 sextillion to one (21 noughts) so I interpret that as ‘there’s a chance’.
(Yes I did actually check the odds - bit dull sometimes in the spectral world).

Brian's Predictions League 2020/21

Final League Table

Our marathon has finally come to an end for this season. The winner of the Brian's Predictions League for 2020/21 was decided today and it is: ​
Champion: :emoticon-0165-muscl <applause> Hackneyhornet <cheers> <bubbly>


Runner Up: <applause> <badger> Matej Vydra23

In third Place: <ghost> theghost

The other 3 European places went to Charlie Livesey in 4th, Markthehorn in 5th and Chris 13 in 6th.

In the end the bragging rights in the Fez family went to Mrs Fez, and Andy must also do the washing up for a year. We hope to see the merry wives back next season. Yorkie escaped the relegation zone helped by Scully forgetting to tip. Highest score of the round was by theghost with 113 which spirited him into 3rd with a rattle of chains (I know it's an old joke but i can't think of anything better). Many thanks to all for taking part. Next year it is back to tipping on the Mancs (if they are allowed in) and Scousepool and all the other so called big boys, together with Lawro from the BBC and, hopefully, full stadiums.
