I thought the FL allowing Peterborough to get an emergency loan keeper when they already had two fit replacements on their books was ridiculous. I also wondered what the reaction would be if the new keeper (an England international btw) saved the penalty that gave them the result that made them champions. Well it happened on Saturday at Charlton when Posh walked away with 3 points instead of 1 and I'm surprised at the lack of outrage.

I really want us to take this title and I hope that doesn't end up being the save that denies us it.

Bollocks isn’t it?
 
But dramatic isn’t it? A 20 year old, not a full England International, we’ve had keepers who’ve been internationals at U17, U18 etc.
Could’ve been just a **** penalty.
 
Of the two keepers on their books, one had only played one first team game in the EFL Trophy and the other has only just moved from the U18's to the U23's and has never played a first team game.

The rules are the same for everyone, I don't think it's a big deal.

I seem to remember us loaning Mannion to Plymouth in similar circumstances.

Surely a lack of appearances for reserve keepers is just mismanagement, there are plenty of cup games over the season to get a backup up to speed. How many Pizza cup games did we play? If every club could do what Posh did where's the incentive not to play your best keeper in every game?

The keeper they have took on loan is 4yrs younger then their no2 keeper as well. Lack of first team appearances or not... Posh had 3 registered keepers fit and that could play. They shouldn't be able to bring in another just because he is more experienced league games wise

It is an odd rule. As stated earlier, they should have managed the squad better. We could have saved Long's wages, and just exploited this rule if anything happened to Ingram.
Why are goalies so special? Why not similar for outfield players?
