Every day the Independent post a negative Brexit story. I think I have seen similar stories a few weeks back. laughable.
Is the article wrong?

To be fair Bob do you or anyone else have a recording of Boris making that statement? The answer is no, so someone who doesn't like Boris said he made that statement... mmm alarm bells starting to ring. I don't believe this rubbish for one minute. Certain elements have been trying to have a pop at Boris in recent weeks... decorations/comment's/DC and it just stinks of a joint attack on him. they also tried it with Hancock and those shares but that went away because it was another poor attempt to discredit the government.
As for Cummings... He has always been a loose cannon who doesn't like government or other offices. He did well for the Brexit campaign but made a dick of himself at the castle. He made many enemies during his time and blames them for his exit. He is just trying to get a bit of payback.
This is all to do with Brexit and the hammering of Labour at the last election. Certain elements are trying to discredit the government because they know Starmer will never beat the tories. Supported by the London elite MSM they will try anything and everything.
What is more important is that the country is on its way back and the vaccine roll out has been a huge success.
The key word in my post was a one syllable, two letter word...'if'. Let's wait and see what evidence becomes available. This story popped up on my news feed via the Daily Mail. That bloody Tory rag trying to discredit a Tory government heyTo be fair Bob do you or anyone else have a recording of Boris making that statement? i totally agree. I have now read two stories on the so called comments and both differ? I really can’t imagine the Prime minister of this country saying stuff like that when he nearly died himself and in personal messages says he is deeply saddened by the death toll. We will have to wait and see I guess. The key word in my post was a one syllable, two letter word...'if'. Let's wait and see what evidence becomes available.

I'm the opposite, I really can imagine the PM saying something like this. He says all sorts without any thought.Cummings has landed a bigger blow on Boris

Well if he did actually say that then it doesn’t bode well for him. It would also depend on the context ( if he said it).Just for the record Ellers, if there is actual evidence of Boris saying that would you say he needs to resign and he's a disgrace?

If found guilty I would imagine that people within the party may want him gone. Us Tories are a funny bunch, We are loyal until we are not.
Boris is a winner and the Tories know he will always beat Sir Starmer. It may not be in their interest to get rid... if found to have made those comments. TBH i am more interested in getting back to work and the pub again.Oh well, at least you are consistent (i.e. you'll wait which way the tory party wind blows before denouncing him, if he even gets denounced or defend him)

I have just bumped into a chap walking his dog who basically said "I don't care what he said, who decorated his house or what Cameron done. I am just interested in getting back to life and going to the pub". Spot on sir! I think most people feel the same.I think this is exactly right, which is why the public are likely to roll their eyes and say this is Boris letting off steam again. IF he said it, it was bloody stupid, but I don't think many will believe he meant it (particularly when he nearly died of the virus in hospital himself). It's hyperbole.
The UK are predicted to be the fastest growing economy in the developed world this year largely because of the success of the vaccine roll out. That matters to voters more than Boris sounding off or redecorating the flat above 11 Downing Street.
As much as I want to counter argue that, I'm struggling to. There may be 130,000 angry families but that won't change the dynamics of the government.I think this is exactly right, which is why the public are likely to roll their eyes and say this is Boris letting off steam again. What is this obsession with going to the pub? Its all that some seem bothered about. I have loads of friends who have said the same thing as Ellers just said.I have just bumped into a chap walking his dog who basically said "I don't care what he said, who decorated his house or what Cameron done. I’m not sure as I have not been to the pub or want to go at the moment. What is this obsession with going to the pub? Its all that some seem bothered about. I have loads of friends who have said the same thing as Ellers just said.
