Yep, he's done a good job. Looking forward to seeing how he does 2nd time around in the championship and with his own team.
And without players throwing him under the bus by chucking the towel in. Next season could be a great one for us!
He's absolutely earned the right. Some support from the boardroom will be needed to give him a fighting chance. That's all for next year though. Enjoy the moment. UTT
There is now a risk that we might lose him in the summer, he will be hot property. Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich, maybe Derby. They could all do a lot worse than give Grant a job.
Over the moon we're back in the championship, well done city and Grant McCann , now the hard work starts staying there.
Yes, ironically that's possible! I do feel the guy owes the owners some loyalty mind as he admitted that he was in some ways surprised to keep his job at the end of last season.
He deserves the chance to have another crack at the championship, I’m hoping he uses the summer to come up with a plan B. We won’t have the best squad or we won’t be the big fish in the league, so he needs to improve tactically for games when we struggle. Making plan A better might not be enough
There's money to spend, new owners or not and that won't be the case for a lot of clubs. Add that to the momentum we have and I'm looking forward to it already
Worth remembering Plan A had us eighth in the Championship table on New Years Day 2020. Not everything that happened after then was GM's fault.
There is no active plans ( that I know about anyway ) to sell any player that grant wants to keep, that can and obviously would change if we got a high offer and in this day and age due to covid and the impacts it's had, any club at our level would have to seriously look at said offer. More by luck then judgement, the way we have been run these last number of years has put us at a huge advantage financially when it's come to riding out the covid storm and the mess it's going to leave at a high number of clubs
