There seems to be a lot of hatred from some on here for individuals, management and players. Shame on you. When LJ arrived we were ninth. (After the Wigan game when LJ was technically in charge but I wouldn’t put that down to him). Since then it’s been something like 17 wins, 9 draws and 5 losses. Better than 50% win rate. Amazing considering we only have one striker and we’ve had that back four, a 21 year old kid, two short but eager midfield players and MacFadz, who isn’t great. Astonishing that we got within touching distance of the top two. Annoying, but not surprising that we fell away. I’m fairly hopeful about the playoffs. With players coming back, bedding in, I think we have a great chance of getting the third spot. I guess the whingers will carry on whinging. Me, I’ m always hopeful.
We got into a position, with about 10 games to go, to get into the top two and bottled it again. Said it weeks ago (and got pelters from some for it) but this season reminded me so much of our first season down here, and it's gone the same way. When it comes to the crunch we just haven't got the right stuff. That has to change in the summer, thankfully the majority of this squad will be gone.
LJ has a worse PPG than Parkinson Any "praise" he is getting is undeserved. Promotions aren't won over a 14 game winning streak, it's the entire race and right now he's failing us
That's some fine margins like, 1.77 for Parky versus 1.74 for LJ, although Parky's total would actually be lower as he only managed 1.6 in his first season. I'd also point out it took Parky 38 league games to got 17 wins, it's taken LJ 27 games to get 13 wins. He's been a definite improvement to me.
first legs 18 and 19th May, 2nd legs 21st and 22nd May final sunday May 30th, who gets tickets anybody knows, or is it local supporters like yesterdays con on Man c and Leicester semi's. i want to go to the home leg but one of you can have my final ticket IF i get one. Changed the dates !.
Can you hand me some of those straws that your grasping I need something to hang onto and this could be it, who knows
I'm not writing off automatic place just yet. Hull have us, Charlton and Lincoln in there last 4 games. Peterborough have Gillingham, Charlton, Donny twice and Lincoln, so no easy ride for the top two.
The most damage was done by the amount of games we drew at the start of the season. To go unbeaten was a massive ask at this stage unfortunately. Left ourselves a bit too much to do. Shrewsbury and ourselves are the only two teams with draws amounting in the teens. (14)
I haven’t seen anything in any of the top teams for us to be scared of in the playoffs and that’s with our makeshift defence.
To win three games or maybe even two is a lesser task than having to win six, even with our atrocious playoffs record. LJ broke the Wembley hoodoo. Got as much chance as any other team in the playoffs, of course now, we just have to ensure we are in them. Enthusiastic wealthy owner with vision, hopefully crowds back next season and still a fair crack of the whip to get promoted this season. Plenty to be positive about however it pans out between now and the end of the season.
