Featherstone plays in central midfield for Pools, alongside another ex-Tiger Gavin Holohan (the latter never made a first team appearance). They’ve got a really good chance of getting back into the EFL.
But the teams behind them have got games in hand .....
Should have read the later posts

I’m not sure whether Sutton have got rid of their 3G pitch yet. If they haven’t, they can’t be promoted to League 2.

If they go up, the 3G pitch is being moved to the training ground next door and they'll install grass.

He started out as a striker in the youth teams, the dropped into attacking midfield. He’s a central midfielder at Hartlepool. He’s also put on about 5 stone, which might explain his change in position.

Tbf I thought I was going senile (probably am) but thought I recalled his rave reviews as a forward in the junior set up .. thanks for clarifying

Blown it have Rotherham.... so many games in hand and haven't managed to win one.... Would have been nice to put Derby in the bottom 3....
They’ve still got six games to play. I can’t see how you can write them off yet.

And they won last Tuesday.

speaking of hartlepool, an ex-tiger scored for them today in a 7-2 away win at wealdstone.(it describes him as a forward but the line-ups show him in defence).
Saw him for Hartlepool v Maidstone a couple of years ago and he was a stand out player that day. Think he was playing a deep midfield role.
Curious incident when he was on the fringes of City's first team, I was cycling past Colliers Wood station in South London and took shelter from a heavy downpour. Was wearing a city top and a kid asked me about it. Turned out he was Featherstone's nephew who then lived in the area. We had just played Charlton recently in London and he was excited by how much his uncle had earned for being on the bench.

When I said blown it, I meant they had 5 or 6 games in hand... and they have lost 3 of the last 4 at home to 3 teams in the same trouble Wycombe, Coventry and today Birmingham. You're right about the win Tuesday, you'd have thought that might have been the spark they needed... I'm only interested in the hope they could overtake Derby...

Both united and Wednesday stepping down a rung on the ladder....in the same season, wonder if that has happened before. Shame for two massive clubs ...not

Peterboro should walk this really, but you never know, nerves and all that. A draw would be good.
