You're suggesting he's faking injury to avoid playing?Haven't seen anything on SAFC.com. Wonder if this is just rumours and may explain the other nights performance. Something's gone on behind closed doors and maybe Sanderson had just said sod it, my backs knackered

Johnson's press conference is tomorrow. He'll no doubt confirm or deny the story then. I don't see any need for a story on the club's website. All I'm saying is it's not mentioned on SAFC.com but it's appeared from somewhere and people are taking it as gospel. Plus is there anyone who's never phoned in sick with a bad back?

It's not unusual for stories of injuries to be leaked by people at the club. Happened loads over the years
He took several knocks and wasn't moving smoothly by the end of the game. Think he's out like...True. Until it's confirmed, I'll take it with a pinch of salt.
Good for you. It will be confirmed tomorrowTrue. Until it's confirmed, I'll take it with a pinch of salt.

In steps Younger to thunderous applause (Lynott).https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...fender-dion-sanderson-struggling-back-injury/
DION SANDERSON could miss the remainder of the season with the back problem that was troubling him during Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at Wigan Athletic.
Sanderson played the full 90 minutes as the Black Cats lost at the DW Stadium, but Lee Johnson conceded after the game that he was complaining of pain in his back.
Sunderland’s medical staff have been assessing the problem in the last 48 hours, and Sanderson is not expected to be involved in Saturday’s crucial game against promotion rivals Blackpool.
It is feared the issue could take a few weeks to resolve, placing a question mark over Sanderson’s availability for all six of the Wearsiders’ remaining matches plus any future play-off games.
Younger or even Almond - at least they are both defenders. In steps Younger to thunderous applause (Lynott).

you may be right but this is a major opportunity to blood one of our own, i will be disappointed if he doesn't do that, even bringing him off the bench if it's not going good, at least give him some pitch time. but i'm afraid you could be right this close to the last few gamesNot a chance Younger gets a chance either. Will be O’Nien and Wright at CB

if he was injured i cant see the logic of playing him, can you give me a link mate to that info mate very poor showing if that is confirmedApparently he was having issues with his back prior to the Wigan game, so what the **** was Johnson doing playing him?! Poor management imo and he’s now out for the rest of the season. Ridiculous decision.
