Litter over here is a continual eyesore, but everyday there are teams of workers to clear all the discarded litter. I have asked why people throw it on the floor even when in reach of a bin. The answer was if I throw it in the bin I am doing someone out of a job.

Not difficult to guess where I am!

Having said that, until recently we lived in Angel (5 mins from the Emirates) which was a pain in the arse to get out of on a saturday, the bulk of the journey spent in traffic getting across london to the M3.

Now its an easy 1h30, if the M25 behaves itself.

As you can tell Sydney now, but was Dublin last season so pretty easy on the plane.
Cardiff prior to that so not too far from there!!
Was thinking about coming back for a couple of games at christmas but think i'm going to postpone it till later in the season, for the final promotion push hopefully!!
Why the saints? Born there and been going for 34 years, once a saint always a saint!! Very hard being out here and missing it all!!

Your choice. I presume other circumstances made the choice an overwhelming YES, to Australia..?

Triumph Street Triple (new shape) - Mid life crisis. I only passed in May so this is my first bike.

Crikey..! I've been getting around on a bike, on/off since 1976 or thereabouts. That's sounds like I'm a thorough biker. I'm not. There have been huge gaps where I gave up riding. But I came back to it about 3½ years ago and now ride a Honda VFR800FiY. Utterly brilliant bike. I think I'll stick with it as long as it wants to stick with me, and maybe, just maybe I'll find an example of its smaller brethren, a mid-90's VFR400 to keep it company. That, or an old semi off-road bike, like an Yamaha XT500 [if I can find one cheap enough - unlikely].

As they say... shiny side up..!

I live in a whole other country, Wales. Takes about 3 hrs on the train, don't take the trip as often as i should. Need to find some other saints fans in cardiff to go down with.

Another Cardiff Saint here, also don't get down to as many games as I wish I could but already been to 6 games this season.

I love travelling but personally couldn't move anywhere else permanently. I just feel I belong to this land.

Let me thoroughly recommend the South of France to you. Not le cote de... but inland slightly, say around Montpelier or along west at Pezenas, and within a short car ride to the coast. [sort of, like Southampton to Calshot] Lovely dry warmth, for most of the year, totally unlike the humid conditions we often get when the Sun peeps out. Wonderful fresh food and market produce. Pretty and slightly decaying Romanesque architecture, and very, French..! And a laid back way of life that you either get or don't. Above all, that reliable Sun - currently 26°C in Pezenas, at 4pm. So they're finally starting to come to the end of summer. ;)

Mind you, you're an IOW'ter, so I can imagine your belongingness [if there is such a word..?]

I'd move there tomorrow if I could; maybe even a little further north.

Walk up Swaythling High Road and you would think you were in a third world country. The students aren't a problem it is the landlords who don't care for their property.

The litter is not helped by the high number of take aways and the worst of the lot is MacMucks. I fill a carrier bag most days with their wrappers etc simply thrown down by the boys from St George's School. I had a heated altercation with one young woman who having bought a drink form MacMuck's then pushed the empty cup into my hedge. Her response was "who do you think you are? I'll do what I like."

It's like a curates egg, good in parts, litter is a problem all around, I spend a lot of time picking up litter in Daisy Dip, some of it thrown down within feet of the many bins in the area, that is down to lack of respect from the kids and lack of discipline from the parents, that isn't just Swaythling.
