Yeah it’s 2030 and you’re bang on, they need to put their money where their mouth is, the Danes got it right a couple of years back, and now EV’s dominate their market. The Govt talk big about an electric revolution, but the reality is that unless you've got some big beans to throw at it, then most people can't afford to buy one right now. There are some decent hybrids on the market too. But for this to really take off the Govt need to incentivise people to switch from petrol and diesel.
It will have to happen eventually I suppose, if the Govt stick to their pledge to stop producing Petrol and Diesel cars by what is it 2030 ?

I’ve been waiting for the new generation, as the previous full EV’s were ****e in terms of range and hybrids are an absolute pisstake unless your average journey is about 10 miles max each way. The ID 4 can do over 300 miles which makes it viable for me.
Gonna give it 5 years .Yeah it’s 2030 and you’re bang on, they need to put their money where their mouth is, the Danes got it right a couple of years back, and now EV’s dominate their market.

EV’s will continue to evolve, the batteries will get smaller and lighter, with more range and higher power. I’m sure the current offerings will be out of date within 4/5 years, which is why I’ll either lease or take a PCP and hand it back.Gonna give it 5 years .
A company called Quantumscape are developing a solid state battery that will revolutionise the EV market .
VW have put in £300 million but its 4 years awayv
They say that leasing will be a lot more affordable than buying in the futureEV’s will continue to evolve, the batteries will get smaller and lighter, with more range and higher power. Compared to buying new for cash, It already is if you change your car every 3 or 4 years. They say that leasing will be a lot more affordable than buying in the future

**** the future palWhat’s horrible about it. It looks lovely, drives well has more gizmos than any other motor. Plus it’s the future.
EV revolution is a load of ****, you have to do about 80,000 miles before you start to offset the CO2 costs of making the battery, which is about 20 tonnes per battery. Ad that's before you've charged it once. The Govt talk big about an electric revolution, but the reality is that unless you've got some big beans to throw at it, then most people can't afford to buy one right now. Would like to be able to afford an electric car. But unless the Govt put their money where there mouth is and heavily subsidise it, then I’m gonna have to stick with my old Dino diesel beast for a bit longer.

if i was given the choice of Sweats and yours, I'd go for yours every day of the week tbh.
I love big ol things like that

So puts the 2030 deadline very much in doubt then ?
They been around for decades !Not getting a Tesla till they make one that can fly.
I’d rather the government subsidise public transport than Elon Musk’s phony business model anyway.
Meanwhile, London’s Ultra Low Emmission Zone means my 20 year old 3 series becomes unaffordable in October. I’ve seen the future, and it’s ****. Good job I’m an old man.
what kind of lunatic puts a car in a garageI don’t think it was ever realistic IMO as we don’t have an adequate charging infrastructure. I would be interested to know how many properties in the UK have drives or garages to enable off street charging overnight?.
